Gz WARs with another patch cycle of tank meta domination. Bye-bye PLD/DRK comps.

pretty sure it wont be better
Q1. Currently some tanks stack STR on their accessories to increase their DPS, are changes planned for tank accessories themselves?
A1. We will be introducing adjustments in Tuesday’s patch 4.05.
We have received feedback from tanks regarding continuing to equip item level 270 accessories.
This puts more stress on the healers, and a lack of VIT may become an issue as we enter Savage. However, top players may be able to clear even under those conditions, so we worry that that will become the norm.
As a result, we have decided to add a minimum amount of STR to accessories.
When level syncing, only tanks will have STR stacked up, but we will overlook this for content up through 3.x.
Item level will increase in coming updates, but STR will not scale the same as VIT, so we would like you to keep that in mind.
Penalty removal is awesome. Correct me if I'm wrong. Is that six less gcds before hitting inner release now?
Ugh, I know exactly where that is going to take us. And it was such a good implementation, too.
I guess I'll have to say it then: just get rid of stances if you're going to trivialize them.
And as such will have a guaranteed spot again because of it.
* The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.
* Design ideas:
Red Mage - COMPLETE (https://tinyurl.com/y6tsbnjh), Chemist - Second Pass (https://tinyurl.com/ssuog88), Thief - First Pass (https://tinyurl.com/vdjpkoa), Rune Fencer - First Pass (https://tinyurl.com/y3fomdp2)
At this point, there is no excuse for not removing Grit/Shield Oath/Sword Oath from the GCD. The entire gauge halving mechanic clearly was introduced to fix the massive imbalance of stances that existed for all of Heavensward and now they're eliminating it.
I don't mind because frankly it was poorly implemented on WAR, but they must introduce an equal adjustment to DRK and PLD.
Maybe well luck out and WAR will be put on the GCD at least... Probably not tho...
No word on Dark Passenger being reverted or the lack of defensive CD's as a DRK for low lvl content. I'll reserve my judgement for Tuesday's patch notes but I feel the issues with DRK didn't get as much attention as WAR. I'm not sure why they're buffing soul eater, but I'll take anything atm.
PLD and DRK get their defensive buff just from going into the stance, WAR need to get healed after swapping to tank stance by either spending either a GCD or oGCD cooldown from a healer to get them to the same effective HP spot as a PLD/DRK with their instant 20% dmg reduction or spend their own oGCD 1min cooldown. Just because you don't immediately see the cost doesn't mean it's not there. At most you might have a argument for going into SwO being oGCD.At this point, there is no excuse for not removing Grit/Shield Oath/Sword Oath from the GCD. I'm not sure why, and maybe its just me being me, but it really feels like DRK never gets more than a token mention on any LL. They just outright refuse to take any problem with the job, big or small, seriously. I guess there aren't enough of us and we don't cry loud enough.
