Actually there is a mention in a post 60 LTW quest, and I recall reading in these forums that the calamity weakened the elementals, so 5 years later it's no wonder the fear of the greenwath was diminished.

Post level 60 on LTW of all things is pretty hardcore, lol.

The weakening of the elementals was our best theory as to why Greenwrath is no longer a widespread threat. It makes sense considering much of the shroud was razed in the Calamity, but their isn't even a hint of flavortext referencing despite many citizen's unease with adventurers.

Yeah we have a few Shroud lore nerds in my current FC and all of them are rather upset with the sunshine and roses turn that the writers did with Gridania. I understand that the 1.0 Shroud was hell from a gameplay standpoint even having never experienced it, but it bothers me immensely that they try so very hard to sweep the nastiness of Gridania and the amoral elementals under the rug in the current content we have available. I'd kill for there to be signs of the Greenwrath returning, just from what my enthusiastic friends have stated about it.
