It won't happen for the one reason that it would make people feel like they "have" to login and it wouldn't be fair to them. Also the people who can't play just on weekends. Its the same old song and dance for everything.

Just make it a week long then.
On a side note, they already have plenty of stuff that makes you feel you "have" to log on. Weekly tomestone cap, weekly loot from 8 man raid, weekly loot from 24 man raid, gathering and crafting tomestones, wondrous tails,... I could go on for a while, but you get the point![]()
But this would be considered events and once you advertise it as that people look at it differently than just logging in on normal days.Just make it a week long then.

This is kinda different from normal events though. It's not like a seasonal event where not logging in ensures you miss something exclusive. All this is is extra incentive for people to play on random non-seasonal event weekends. It's really not all that unfair for someone to miss a double drop or double xp weekend, and that more people would feel obliged to login is kinda the point. I work every other weekend, and would miss a lot of this, and yet here I am suggesting it anyway. All it is, is a little incentive for extra community involvement in different activities, and no one is going to be hurt if they can't make one.
Im not against it in any way, I agree with having some more interesting non seasonal events. Im just saying its gonna cause issues with the people who think its unfair. I log in almost everyday so I think its a great idea! This is kinda different from normal events though. It's not like a seasonal event where not logging in ensures you miss something exclusive. My whole point is Yoshi would rather not give us things like this just so people can call out and cry about them, its pretty much the reason we lack long term substance content as well.

Someone said make it an entire week event, BOOM problem solved. And if anyone complains about that... I'll send my Exdeath minion over to their house/inn room for a visit!
Why not make it less than double?
Maybe give everyone in the world the effects of FC buffs, but maybe 3rd tier, on top of the regular stuff?
"Hmm, 20% exp bonus on everything next week? Well, I have been putting off leveling my gatherers..."
Definitely not guys, server limitations of course.
While i would love it ... i bet it wont ever happen cause ... "server can't handle it" or some other crap .. :/
agree with the OP all the way. I think it shouldn't be too hard if they simply tied it to the duty roulette bonus. Doesn't even really have to be an event if it happens every weekend.
