he's the one boss I havent fully figured out yet.

However, I kinda cheat.

Usually there is a melee dps in the group who knows it VERY well. I just hug him like a new boyfriend. (Im pretty much standing close to him...but not close enough like Tina Belcher with Jimmy Jr). With the barrier i just stop everything

Ive done this the last 3 runs of this dungeon. I've gotten pretty good at it lol

If you mean AoEs look at it this way:

Port and Star = Port and Starboard like the sides of a ship. So don't be to his sides.
Fore and Aft = Before (in front of) and After (behind). Don't be in front of or behind him.

It's surprising how many people fail that. I try to be that melee who others can follow for the less obvious three-sides-deflecting Killer Instinct mechanic, though, as I imagine some really may have trouble seeing that if at all distracted when it comes out.
