I love that fight and I hope it never gets touched for the sake of a few.
Instead gives us an extreme version!

There will definitely be one, especially if you look at how the HW primals went. Bismark, Ravana, and Thoredin(sp?) all have their Extreme versions before too long. All trials that are part of the story(and most of the side quest ones too - just not relic exclusive) get an EX version eventually..
I'll chime in on this: coming from both the perspective of complete fail on my first 8-wipe attempt, and from my second 3-wipe success.
The first time my friends and I did this, we quickly learned the mechanics, but it ended in abject failure. And, I left to go to bed with nightmares of T9 and Sephirot Ex dancing in my head. lol - cuz we did it right, but couldn't beat it. After youtubing it the day after, I figured out that we got the mechanics right, but the heals weren't there. Case-in-point: our best run, on the failed attempt, got us to 15% - and it took not one, but two lvl-3 healer LBs to get the group back up. That shouldn't happen. But, regardless, it is a healer fight more than anything. If the heals aren't up to snuff, it's gonna end in a miserable experience for everyone.
The second time, on the other hand, was much much better. The first 2 wipes happened 'cuz the tanks and healers didn't pop their group-wide defensive CDs in time after the add phase. And, on the 3rd time when they did it right, we blitz through that fight with relative ease (I think there was only like one or two deaths in the group). So, other than that, it was a very smooth run!
Having experienced both ends of the spectrum here, I'd have to say that the fight doesn't need a nerf-bat to the head, as some would say. It is a complicated fight - yes - but it is not impossible, as long as people are aware, alert, and observant.
However, since it requires a massive amount of healing (and I'm popping my refresh on CD on my BRD to help the healers with their MP), the only caveat I'd say is ... Maybe add The Echo to help things along on subsequent wipes -- since this is represented as an MSQ fight, and also since the end-game gear is gated behind it. I mean in that, the other 6 to 7 players shouldn't have to suffer, because one or two players can't do their jobs right. That's usually relegated to the Extreme modes, where a death or two can lead to an all out wipe.
I agree!
There will be - for the sake of all that is holy and fun in this game - 吉田さん and his team will definitely add an Ex version
(at least I hope so)
And I want it to be MUCH harder than anything else considering how it was in the normal fight(not impossible, or even that hard really if you pay attention to his casts).
Well, yeah, but the original Titan HM dance was not in any way universally loved, it became a blocker for a lot of players. Referring to this fight in that manner will probably trigger a few memories for some players. Also, if your forum join date is indicative of when you started playing FFXIV, you don't know how Titan HM originally was - remembering the gear most people went in with.
Uhm...
/10don'tnerfthisyocharUpdate: Square Enix commented on the mixed feedback around The Royal Menagerie in a statement to Polygon.
“As with all of our content, we consistently monitor feedback from the Final Fantasy 14 community and report this information to our internal teams,” a representative said. “Currently, we cannot definitively say if any difficulty adjustments will be made to this particular battle due to the mixed reactions from the community, but it is a situation we will continue to monitor in the coming weeks.”
I think I've spent a week or two trying to clear Titan HM for my Curtana back in the day. Then Extreme came out to show us the true meaning of pain.Well, yeah, but the original Titan HM dance was not in any way universally loved, it became a blocker for a lot of players. I'm not sure what the gear was like when Titan HM was originally released, but when I joined World of Darkness(for non-hardcore raiders) and Coils Savage was the top end of gear, and Soldiery was the non-capped, while Poetics were the weekly capped tomes. I didn't find it hard, nor did I find the EX version particularly hard(mained DRG at the time, and would stand just between his landslides to still hit him, but dodge them). After my 5th or 6th run(of EX), I would rarely die to anything in his fight.Well, yeah, but the original Titan HM dance was not in any way universally loved, it became a blocker for a lot of players.
