So SE should have designed the job system purely to suit your individual preferences?Because I enjoy nuking as a mage but I hate everything about THM.
So yeah I feel pretty screwed.
(Just to be clear, I assumed as soon as they removed AoE toggle on cures and gave CNJ the only AoE cure that they would probably be the healer class. I was just hoping SE would pleasantly surprise me. Today I've learned never to hope for anything from SE...)
I understand you're disappointed, but what exactly would you rather them have done? Go the other way to please you, and then piss off another whole heap of players?
I'm sorry if people thought a job based around enfeebling should ever be a nuking class? Where this logic came from I'll never understand either. A class that get TWO nukes (two tier 1, two tier two) in their entire freaking arsenal (no wait, Shadowsear so 3) is chosen to be the nuking class over a job that has 6 tier ones, 6 tier two, and 6 ancient magic spells along with 6 tier one elemental enfeebles and 6 tier two.
That...makes...so much sense!

Again your making ASSumptions, and claiming it makes no sense because you were mistaken. Every other spell thay have besides the 10 % you mention are WHM spells.....how does that 10% deem them BLM ?I'm sorry if people thought a job based around enfeebling should ever be a nuking class? Maybe you never played FF games before, but BLM had more then nukes. They have negative status effects and debuffs, and WHM raditionally have CURE, shell, protect, and other buffs, as well as the status effect negators (paralyna, silena..and so on).
It's not even 10% anyway. He's pulling figures out of his rear. Almost the entirety of the CON repertoire is BLM spells as I know you are aware, but it bears mentioning none-the-less because some people seem be less so.
Someone should check their math skills. CNJ, if you're going based on percentages, has 52 spells total. 34 of them are traditional BLM spells, 18 are traditional WHM spells. That means 65% of CNJ spells are BLM ones, 35% are WHM spells. 65>35. I'm not saying this out of denial either, just thought you should be aware of your mistake.
Thats where you appear to be mistaken. they may have been BLM spells in FFXI, but they are not traditional throughout the entire series. only 12 are acrually traditional BLM.......this has been stated over the weeks by several poster other then myself. perhaps it is your math that needs checking? Perhaps some folks need to realize the franchise goes well beyond FFXI.Someone should check their math skills. Fire II Aero II Water II Blizzard II Stone II Thunder II
Flare Tornado Flood Freeze Quake Burst
Add to those:
Repose
Sleep
Burn Choke Drown Frost Rasp Shock
Burn II Choke II Drown II Frost II Rasp II Shock II
I usually lump in Profundity, Purge I/II, and Trance Chant for good measure.
I don't know what you're arguing here or why. Either of you. But please stop? This is ridiculous bickering.
