I would reply to your comment with some condescending remark, but it's not worth it. Keep on doing you buddy. Have no idea why you got your panties in a bunch over this whole situation.
So SE said it was a Sony problem and that they had informed Sony of it. People get their pitch forks and cry bull****, claiming that it's clearly an SE problem because everyone knows exactly how these two infrastructures play into one another and there's no way it's not that filthy SE trying to steal their playtime. Sony releases an update for PS4 that resolves the issue thus proving it really was a Sony problem. People continue to act like SE has personally robbed them blind over the issue.
Sounds about like par for the course around here.
Currently Updating Firmware, will reboot and then try, mid game I will pull the power cord and then turn back on and see if I have to redownload.
EXACTLY! This pisses me off most of all and it even happened after SE claimed they were being DDoS. Everyone jumped ship saying how they are using a scapegoat for their own crappy servers. They have the audacity to believe that SE are pinning the problem on Sony's shoulders as if Sony wouldn't release a statement if it were not true.So SE said it was a Sony problem and that they had informed Sony of it. To be fair SE should have warned people on the Lodestone about the issue AT the very start this was being reported and they knew it was a problem. So SE said it was a Sony problem and that they had informed Sony of it. That is on SE to make sure customers knew that this bug could happen even if Sony's software caused the problem. Not warning players and having them find out after the fact and letting this long thread occur with few far too little responses after a month did not help with customer faith. It almost makes you feel like they wanted users to have this fail so they can show a long thread to Sony...
And on the other hand, Sony is not helping the matter about what this FW update does. "Improves System Performance" Gaming news outlets just ridicule the update because Sony decided to downplay. So many don't know how bad this bug affected users who play certain games like this one.
Maybe should start putting pressure on Sony to be a little more open about what they're updating and less vague. SE is still going to get the blame for the most part because Sony passed the buck in not acknowledging a little more openly.

Tested and confirmed it worked.
its unfortunately the default behavior on most game boards =/ this kind of ppl probably leads a really sad life where everything for them is wrong and everyone is always trying to lie to them. Blizzard, Riot all of them have this kind of people that are never happy and always making conspiracy theories.EXACTLY! Based on my experience with large companies and development release cycles, doesn't matter the partner they will always adhere to release cycles. SOE probably has a firmware release cycle that just came up and that's where they stuck the fix. You would be surprised how even one line of code can take to make it to production regardless of the "motivators", even if the fix is identified immediately, it can take some time to document, verify, GA, test push to a subset or all devices for the fix to validate before they get the blessing to go public. With a company as big as these two it's kind of surprising that it happened this fast.
