    They didn't. An issue was fixed, but it wasn't that one.
    They do aknowledge the issue and are currently working on it with Sony.

    But yes, it took too much time for them to aknowledge the issue. They were very stuborn about this... telling folks it was Hard drive issue and some people on the support are still answering that. Lack of communication inside the compagny?
    Yet, it was very easy to check/reproduce... just remove the power cable while Ps4 is on.

    IF your depending on a gaming console it's to be expected. PC all the way will always give you less problems. Also the 22g being on Sony's end is no surprised. They have been having issues since preparing for update.

    Same thing just happened to me, but unlike you guys, I didn't lose power at all. My PS4 froze up while I was browsing the PS store on the console. I had to force it to power off, and now this morning, this happens. Isn't this the same issue? Cause my system was updated before this happened to me.

    [Follow-up]Regarding an Ongoing Issue with the PlayStation®4 Version (Jun. 15): Follow-up
    This is a follow-up regarding the issue wherein players on the PlayStation®4 version receive a “CE-30022-7” error when attempting to launch the game after updating.

    The results of the investigation we performed with Sony Interactive Entertainment show that this error occurs when the following conditions have been met.

    ■Conditions that lead to the error
    ・Making an entire backup of or restoring the data on the PlayStation®4 system when FINAL FANTASY XIV is installed.
    ・Transferring data from another PlayStation®4 when FINAL FANTASY XIV is installed.

    Since it has been confirmed that this issue can be addressed by updating the PlayStation®4 system software, we had Sony Interactive Entertainment perform a PlayStation®4 system software update on Jun. 22, 2017.

    We apologize for the inconvenience, but due to these circumstances, we ask that user of the PlayStation®4 version please update their PlayStation®4 system software to the latest version.

    *If users are currently experiencing this issue and a CE-30022-7 error occurs, the issue will be resolved without having to reinstall FINAL FANTASY XIV by updating the PlayStation®4 system software.

    It's apparently not the same error as the one "fixed" by the latest firmware update. All we can do is hope they fix it soon.

    Still having this problem even after the update, same thing happened to a friend of mine today. Have had power outages while playing before the expansion and never had that trouble so I've no clue whats going on now.

    But yes, a system freeze would be the same problem as all of us. Any type of improper shutdown will cause this as far as I know.

    PC gaming is a joke in the country I'm in. It's pretty much used for H-Games and Dating Sims. Nobody here is arguing about PC vs Console.

    We're all pissed that we have to deal with 10-24 hour download times for something outside of our control.

    nothing yet..... what is SE doing, I had to buy a ups power supply just in case, I live on a budget and I made sure to include ffxiv on that budget and this is ridiculous.


    I just wish that they fix this and get over with it

    Where are they acknowledging this issue? They need to put it on the lodestone login to at least let players know that this is something they are working on. Right now seeing 60 pages of this thread, is very daunting for players on PS4.

    The power went out at the place sometime last night and I've encountered this issue along with other PS4 players that have had power outages.
    The patch H2017.06.06.0000.0001 will download, if you have to cancel out it adds a letter to the end of the file ie 0001a, 0001b etc...

    It would be greatly appreciated if this was posted so that players are aware that it's being worked on, instead of having them frustrated since the latest notice doesn't address this specific issue.
