Removal of Surnames

Surenames should just be made optional. They make sending a /tell more tedious then it should be. Sence some people actualy like them that is why i say make them optional not required.

I'd forget that just as easily as I'd forget his name WITH the surname. Atleast with it his name sounds less bland and more adventurish I guess.

Well surnames are not that bad for some but other its iritating a long name and long surname. The faster i can communicate the better.

EDIT: The solution we have all agreed upon is to make surnames optional. Those people who don't care about having a name that sucks can keep their surnames. Those of us who want to be seen with only a nickname will be satisfied as well. Yoshi-P! Fix this right away!

Yes we have because some people hate them with a passion and other realy like them. Simple solution make them optional.

I fine with surnames, i for one like them and i dont want have to change my name after playing this long that just be a pain and also will just lead to even more bitching.

Why are they stupid? Nearly every culture in the world uses them, for the very same reasons it's nice to have them here.

Most people who make ridiculously long names with no surname are surely going to make even longer ones with a surname either to grieve other players, think it's funny (at the time) or just doesn't care, i feel my name and surname have a natural feel (Kaminto Komouri) to it, but there are only a handful of us that don't mind trying to pull that off, i agree though that the surname should have been optional, but if SE doesn't want to change this, why not make a radial menu when you target and click on a player and have a tell option within that, i swear the old SE team claimed they did research but I'm not seeing any of it so far...

Really cuz I never met a guy with a name of this length "asdlkjafjkdsljadsf jkadsfkladsfklajsdf" and then they complain why you dont respond to them

Personally, I like the way it is now. I think the Shaolin Wushu is pretty nice name for rank 50 pgl :P I was more disappointed that masochist was on a banlist of words you can use as a name. It's an awesome name for a tank ; ;

I wouldn't care if it was optional though. BTW, CRTL+R works you just have to have the chat box active when you do it. I usually type / then go CTRL + R, but the problem with it is it only work when someone replies to you or sends the first tell.
