It's just growing pains brah, CON 15-35 will suck your will to live away, but up to 15 and after 35 its smooth sailing.

Damage has been lowered for everyone, along with enemy HP.
But u are right in noticing ur dmg is closer to melees now, rather than crazy high.
My best exp/hour is to never engage the enemy, this way you never run out of MP.
Also fight weaker mobs, like 5-10 levels lower, and spam AoEs.
You get some crazy exp from this.
Downside is, ull need some melee buffs from the DoW classes, to help stay alive. (ideally u dont want to ever stop pulling mobs, dont wait till mobs are dead, start running to new mobs, as u keep spamming that AoE dmg.)

Protip - don't solo. This would take forever.

Get in a group, you will grind mobs well above your level (usually)and exp will fly. Leveling is super easy now, just go to Ul'Dah and /shout or wait for someone looking for more members.

You are correct, in that a group will not only be faster to get exp, but getting a group going s almost instant as CNJ.
BUT when it comes to solo methods, this has been the best method I have gotten, I would say I get almost as many levels from a group. (Hard to put a number on it, do to lack of parsers.) Maybe 50-75% of what a group can give me? (No PL and not chaining past 5, since I've yet to experience a group chaining past 5 w/o a PL)
