Can we get Jump Potions for our Retainers?

A potion to let them change job....without having to re LV them all over again.. -_-;

I don't like the idea BUT.. That being said I'd be open to a potion ONLY if it let you change jobs with in the same role. If you want to change the role you must re LV all over again.

DoL /DoM DPS /DoM Healer / DoW Tanks / DoW Malee DPS / DoW Caster DPS

You can only keep your LV if your changing job with in the role they have alrdy been lved in, if you jump to a new role you most LV them all over again.

why are all those conditions you specify necessary?

what does it hurt if your retainer can change jobs without having to level from scratch every time?

what part of the game would that break?

Different roles bring you different items. To be able to just switch a retainer from lv 70 DoM/DOW to lv 70 Miner or from lv 70 Miner to lv 70 Botanist would be a bit OP.

But it shouldn't be a problem to switch a lv 70 MNK to lv 70 AST, because all DoM/DoW retainers have the same items they can collect.

That's irrelevant when you've already got the ability to do the stuff yourself.

So once you have the jobs leveled yourself, is there anything stopping you besides having to level them again? Should there be one? I mean I can just as easily go grab the materials myself and take much shorter than my retainers. The whole point of the system is to save time. Leveling doesn't save time, superfluous leveling at that.

The only purpose of retainers is to make you money and store your items, so changes to retainers that would be disruptive to either of those are changes that likely shouldn't be implemented.
