The Royal Menagerie (From a Healers standpoint)

Thank you to everyone who had suggestions to help with my buttons smashing issue, I'm awful when it comes to figuring out how this forum works so won't try to quote all of you. Anyway I have already tried using different buttons and fingers and hands, but it still becomes an issue after a few tries. I'll have to give the multiple buttons at the same time thing a try when I have the chance.

I'm dreading this Trial. Every thread, ever post on this one continues my belief that Trials are a thing that should just not be a story block. And this belief happened back when they were 4 person deals. Titan... oh how it took my 4 person team forever... Oh Gaurda! Then to my horror 8 person parties... far easier to coordinate with 4 than 8 as 4 are not within grumble range! And such things continue... to now.

Yep. Not looking forward to this one. Somehow I suspect I'll level more of my classes to 70 well before I get 1 clear.

I usually keep hitting numpad keys and space, alt or strg.
I already used up 2 mouses with this game, gonna spare spamming mouseclicks as much as I can. >.<

LOL! FUN...?! O-O This is the MOST frustrating and BAD designed fight EVER in this nice game! - Savage Battle in MSQ? What are they thinking? I never got SO extremly pissed and angry because of that cheap dragon, where 99% of people cant handly mechanics, even most are just recycles! >-> Not even Crap Steps of Fate's took me countless hours to try a complete! Most people cant even stay alive for DPS check round, or/and cant even press-spam the button's after that! People stay in water puddles if lighting atk coming, people NOT stay in water puddles if Fire atk comes. and so on! >_>

what i like is both tanks, gotta tank equally. they both get damaged by the boss and gotta stack away from the pt for ahk mourn.

The Royal Menagerie is not that hard but for MSQ as it was for Nidhogg or Steps of Faith, the level is maybe a little high. Nothing that we can't handle (or shouldn't) but in DF... if we are unlucky, we are obliged to wait to find the right party (two runs, 7 wipes until now, not down) or to meet some overgeared people to run over it.

The real problem is dungons are really easy to compare with the trial.

Garuda? In my experience, the 8 trial always have been easier than the 4 one. XD

That's the thing though, I've healed and dpsed it many times and at most we only wipe a few before clearing. XD

You make it sound like EVERYONE is struggling with this particular instance when really it's just the loud few.

Right? I queued for it again a few hours ago and cleared it after wiping once. RDM Verraise is OP!

I only have a problem with people who are making the same mistakes or don't even try to avoid. Otherwise people who are trying but get hit making a few mistakes make the fight that much more challenging on healer, they are the X factor of the run to me that makes every fight different and bring its own challenges. I dont want to just spam dps spells with a heal here and there, this fight has alot of unavoidable damage being dished out which steps up the healing aspect.

Yes, of course. As long as people are trying it's fine, and I'd rather the fight be a bit more difficult than easy.

I don't mind content difficulty and I hope they keep it as is if I die to it when I do get to do it'll just make me strive to learn it and beat it as well as helping me to become a better player I just ask that people please be patient w/ players that are new to this and are still trying to learn it

How, as a tank, can I help my healers do better in this? I have had 7 groups and wiped around twenty times. I love the fight because it forces me to use everything in my kit, but I keep failing and am at a loss for how to improve. I dodge all the mechanics. I TBN every big hit. I have a bloody macro to explain the fight at the start and I mark safe spots and people to follow. It's like herding cats, and this fight actually seems to require more skill than I can coax out of my pugs. What more do I do? Is there a typical rotation of cooldowns that I should blow that my healers are expecting, so that they can optimize their heals?
