The change to PvP has been amazing

As someone who has gotten into PvP since the changes (It feels FAR more like a MOBA which I truly enjoy), this change to the EXP has been a GODSEND.

I have to disagree , the experience from losing suckks and now its gona make leveling dps take that much longer thanks I guess SE (and I never didnt try or went afk in any match your just not gona win pvp very much so yea it sucks losing all that exp)

Also, how is warning about ninja cappers and people trying to flank the base TOS violations?

And,the Adders on Aether, I am one of them, consistently lose. Even with freelancers. About 70% of the time we lose based on my experience.

Oh no no, it's AFKers and people just trying to leech XP doing nothing that are violating the TOS.

And when I came back to PvP in 3.3, I was on the Adders for the majority of my wins. A lot of the highlight videos I made were from that time. We didn't win all the time, but I can personally say we had good people that worked hard for those wins. THAT makes the difference far more than the GC itself.

Yeah I don't notice whats so great about the change at the moment. We have a few people being leaders on aether at times BUT people still don't listen or care to win first place. Which is fine I suppose because come on... who takes frontlines seriously anyways.

This nerf should of come after the new potd came out as this was the best way to level a dps,, we have 15 jobs and alot of people like to play them all , sometimes it just doesnt seem like SE knows what its doing. We should of had a better leveling method for dps anyway instead of pvp to begin with now they nerf pvp before we have anythiing else makes no sense at all to me

Oh well, I guess the one or two afk-ers we got (On Chaos) per alliance are responsible for a poor decision making... They're useless, granted, but white-knighting isn't gonna help the argument... Especially when those afk-ers simply don't care and still do it, as it seems to be the case...

As far as I can tell, when I read the comments made here, this change has done more harm to PvP than anything else, as, right now, people seem to not care as long as they're seeming to lose. And, btw, as much as I believe in what ThirdChild said, the people throwing are the ones that don't care... the ones that don't read the forum either... So yeah, we all agree on that, but that won't change the fact that many people will be throwing, because they just want it to end quickly so they can get another match that's more rewarding, as they will be winning that one...

I usually stand with SE, I think they do many great things, including what they do with the datacenters and the queues, but poor decision making such as 2 DPS for Stormblood, and now this is poor decision making.

THIS is the real problem.

Frontlines or Feast, you're competing. If you don't have the will to win, you're in the wrong place. Now I'm not saying PvP's got to be serious business 100% of the time (in fact, the distraction team thing started as a joke among me and my friends. It just so happens that it worked as a strategy, and we get a kick out of poking the hive enough to have a whole team chase us). But no one should come into a competition thinking "eh, it's fine if I don't get first, I get [insert reward here anyways]". To hell with that. I want first. And if someone else wants it more, fight me for it. Nothing is more fun than the close matches when you can tell the other team wants it as bad as you. Therein lies the thrill. Therein lies the rush to requeue. Therein lies the fun of PvP.

It's nice that PvP now became an option for XP, and were it not for Raubahn and his Great Eastern Gate during early access, I likely doubt that PvP would've become such a widely sought option for leveling (plus dungeons STILL give more). But the good thing that came out of it is people who otherwise wouldn't have tried now not only have, but they've discovered they like it. Whether or not they were in it solely for XP, now is a good time to work on learning how to play better and get those wins and the "good" XP reward.

For anyone who just wants to afk still, dungeons give more, but you still have to work there. Joke's on you.

Yeah, well, no.

Feast, you're competing, that's kinda the purpose of it... But Frontlines ? There's no ranking whatsoever, so yeah, you can be as much a tryharder as you want, but remember that most people around you are... I don't know how to phrase it. Just regular people wanting to have fun ? You don't force anyone doing Omega to rush Omega Savage, do you ? Then why would you take 23 people hostage of your ambition ? Yeah, I want to win in PvP, even in frontlines, when it didn't matter, because that's a good reward in itself. But your blood-hungry-elitist point of view is seriously a big "Nope" to me, and if someones tries to pull me in by giving me a speech like that... At best, it won't change a thing, at worst, I'll just be willing to throw. Especially, and I don't know if that's your case, if the one giving the speech is constantly harassing players that aren't used to PvP, or that try but do bad strats... I often meet people like those, and they never help in any way.

You want first ? Alright. I want to have fun. Why should your pleasure come before mine ?

Lets be real the chances of winning three frontlines in a row is less than 50 percent, like yea I try but I am a clicker in general and Ill tell you its alot easier to do in pve than pvp so Ill admit Im not very good I get kills and assist. But I also get rekted to , its not fun to lose this is the only form of content that you know your going to lose like its a fact your gona lose some pvp matches a fair amount of them as well. So sayin its competitive is one thing but acting like one person is going to lead a team of 24 to victory just isnt realistic

Pvp should have stayed the same again because we have 9 dps and want be getting our brain dead potd back until next patch so they should of left pvp alone because the fact of the matter is your not gona win half the time so why punish us for something thats out of our hands. 9 times out of ten most teams dont even have a healer,, because people are there just to level dps jobs so its not even as formatted as it was prior to sb so of course your not gona win ever match. This was a bad idea if you not gona do something about dps ques are give us other means to level dps at a decent pace.
