Don't like DPS queue time? Roll a tank or healer!

People forget party finder exists, i often go there on dps to find a party quickly. And if a party does not exist for what you need, then simply make one. For roulette's and newer content it can take maybe ten minutes, fifteen at most for a tank or healer to join which often times, kind tanks and healers do check party finder before just jumping in queue, not to mention that people from across worlds can join vastly increasing the chance you'll find a friendly tank/healer to ease your queue time. It's much better than queuing alone and getting hit with that full 40-50 min wait time.

I've wondered about this. Don't you need to use the Duty Finder if the quest tells you to use the Duty Finder? O.o

But you do use duty finder whether you are pre-made or not. Its the thingy that puts you in the instance, so by no means need you solo queue your first run in a dungeon or trial or raid or what have you

Ah ok. So theoretically I could use PF for Labyrinth of the Ancients Raid and it will still satisfy the conditions of the quest upon completion?

Of course, even if it is your first time upon entry as long as you have the quest for it that opens it to you you may use party finder to queue

It's more like you can't do anything in a decent amount of time if you're not a tank or healer. Even PF is nothing but healer and tank slots, the game is literally a chore for any DPS right now if you don't have some kind of static group.

This isn't about being entitled or wanting instant gratification, it's what was SE thinking when they decided to add 2 new DPS classes at the same time?

I tanked all the way through ARR and most of Heavensward.

I like Red Mage. A lot. A lot more than any other Job I've played in the game. So I am playing it.

I'll just deal with the queues. There is tons of other stuff I can do while waiting for a 50 minute queue.

Not defending their stupid decision to add ONLY DPS roles, but they were backed into a corner in a way.

They HAVE to release a DPS every expansion. However, they have already said that 3 jobs was too much for them.
