And? Doesn't make it any less boring and uninspired for BGM to a raid.
Just because it is a callback to a previous FF doesn't make it instantly awesome.

So a questionably canon comic relief side quest and what i'm pretty sure is just a very common trope for japanese media.Someone really hating on FFV music? :c
FFXIV isn't meant to be taken seriously, it's a game where a character shot himself up in the air to destroy dalamund (or however you spell it) a game where in the Japanese versions bosses shout their finishing moves like anime characters, the chocobo tales chocobo is cute and a nice throwback to an obscure game. You don't have to like it but FF has never really been srsbuziness
The game doesn't have to be 100% serious all the time but you can't blame people for not respecting this story
(mild omega spoiler)
'
as much as they respected this one

The entirity of the raid is made to be a FF5 nostalgia trip, to each his own I suppose, I only find it fitting that the FFV OST is reaused for FFV fights,

Uh.
Did you watch the final cutscene? It's pretty clear that's what they're leading up to.
I really enjoyed the story. I'm not the biggest fan of FFV, but I'm looking forward to the worlds they'll bring in for the next tiers. This is leaps and bounds better than Alexander.
As far as difficulty goes, it seemed pretty par for the course for story mode.

FFV wasn't a favorite, but I am really enjoying the music.
If there's one thing I absolutely love about this game, it's the homage to other titles.
Please, never stop doing that.
Omega is a throwback to FFV. It makes sense that the creature we'll have as a companion guiding us through this raid is Boko, Bartz very companion. This raid story revolves around Omega creating random stuff and sending us through multiple dimensions.
By the way, Alexander's plot revolved around a freaking cat and silly goblins.
So, yeah, Alpha's appearence doesn't fit in FFXIV. But that's the point. Omega talks to us via hoping TV monitors, random geometrical shapes fly through the area... Everything about this dimension doesn't make sense in FFXIV's world.
If you don't understand that, then you miss half the point of Omega's story.
Normal difficulty is aimed at the general player, Savage is for the challenge thirtsty. I don't get why people who enjoy harder content do easy content then complain about how it easy it is. *Facepalm*

Exactly... Savage is in a couple of weeks. They'll get their difficulty then.
I like the story/idea behind it and I enjoyed the fights. Cant wait to see whats next.
I thought it was fine. This game is 97 percent casual, which I like, so what did you really expect. Oh, way to insult the user base in your post too tc.
