"Early pulling?" It's not instanced content. There's no time restrictions. They were designed to reward people who find them first. Don't like it? Me neither! Tell SE to let the stupid content die already and add something universally rewarding?

There is a difference from finding an S rank yourself and leeching off other people's work who were nice enough to call the hunt that they potentially put hours into spawning just to have it pulled immediately by someone else and potentially get little credit depending if party is close enough when it's pulled.
why is being a decent person so hard it won't kill you to at least wait 2-3 minutes.

Because you wait 2 minutes then someone else is whining to wait another 2 then 10 more people to wait another 5. It's a snowball effect.
Dumb content design is dumb. How about we quit standing behind it?
The entire hunt system in general has been a big mess since it first released.
And linking the tiger to 5,000 kills on mobs that are on a lengthy recast timer is just silly. If you haven't been an active A and S rank hunter since hunting went live, this achievement is pretty damn hopeless and just not worth the grind to even try for, especially for newer players. Speaking of new players... This is the kind of crap that turns them away from the game, and why so many of those little sprouts in your guild stop logging in after a week. Dozens of achievements in the game require obscene amounts of time and energy that just aren't feasible for people who haven't been playing religiously since ARR launched and keeping up with the growth of every branch of content on the content tree.
Having something to work for is fine and good. Necessary even. But SE goes overboard with it on a number of occasions. There's a hard limit to how much time and dedication people can possibly put into a single MMORPG, and locking all of the coolest shit behind a achievement walls maybe 0.1% of the playerbase will ever actually see is just poor game design that doesn't foster fun. Especially when the cool shit is added to achievements that reward retroactive play that amounts to "Well, we hope you've been focusing on this for years or you'll probably never get it"

I mean, I don't hunt often, but when I have I've never seen it be a 2-3 min wait. 10 mins later people still OTW.There is a difference from finding an S rank yourself and leeching off other people's work who were nice enough to call the hunt that they potentially put hours into spawning just to have it pulled immediately by someone else and potentially get little credit depending if party is close enough when it's pulled.

Which its fine if I didn't find it/spawn it, but I've been accused of "Early pulling" on mobs that I have found and decided to call out and share.
Ehh I donno, I wish they'd put less of a focus on hunts, would have been nice for more achievements to work towards.
Another brilliant addition to the discussion.
Hunting is clearly not going away so we should do everything we can to make it as fair and balanced as possible. I don't understand why many people are OK with a large majority of the player base being denied having a reasonable chance to obtain a mount. What is the big deal if a few thousand players get it in 1-2 years compared to maybe 500 ever? This isn't a skill based mount such as the pvp mounts. There was an obvious reason as to why those were limited. There seems to be no real reason as to why the tiger mount is so out of reach other than simply making it a huge time sink in order to lull as many players in as they can in to thinking they can "eventually" obtain it.

I don't bother with S ranks in 2.0, 3.0 and 4.0. Too much salt around them. I do hunt the A ranks mostly in the Sb zones and some times in the 2.0 zones. I haven't been back to HW zones since EA. As for pulling on a hunt, best to hunt them to be there first. If there is an early puller in one of your LS, leave the LS or link it where you know others will get the most benefit out of it.
Well said.
