This could just reset Balmung and leave the rest of us alone.

im still getting a Queue of 1200+ most evenings on omega eu but not surprising as that server as at capacity apparently.

Well it's gone from a 2k queue moving over 1 1/2 - 2 hours to one shifting over 15 mins. It's not ideal, but I don't see it as being worse than the alternative.
anyone had the misfortune to wait 20-30 min to get in and 5 minutes into game getting disconnected? happened 3 times to me so far today lol
What's the alternative? Because all these congestion and login issues could have been completely avoided by SE.
Had they locked Balmung and Glilga months before this, split the NA center into 3 or 4 datacenters, patched the afk bug that was present back in 3.0, and opted to use the more newer and efficient servers the current company built a few months before, we wouldn't see this issue. But SE thought using older servers is ok, topped off with not properly handling server populations when it became apparent there was a mass disparity. This is a bandaid fix, yes it stops the bleeding, but it doesn't close the wound.
Its working, instead of a queue of 2750, I have 300 in the evening. I understand that server reset might disturb some players, but something had to be done.
If you want to blame someone, blame the AFKers.
