REQUEST: Please change PVP duty incentive

THE PROBLEM: The actual incentive to do Frontline through the Duty Finder is not Wolf Marks, and is rather Experience. The problem is that you gain the same experience whether you win or lose. It seems that most people who are queue'ing are doing it for the experience. Therefore, the incentive to win is tied to something most people don't seem to care about (i.e. the Wolf Marks).

REQUEST (suggestion): Scale Experience to PLACE. For example, 1st place earns more experience than 2nd place, and 2nd place earns more experience than 3rd place. As a suggestion, 1st place receives 100% experience, 2nd place receives 50% experience, and 3rd place receives 25% experience.

This suggestion may not (and likely will not) eliminate all of the people who /afk through matches (etc), but it will at least provide an incentive to win with a reward that people will care about (i.e. the experience).

This suggestion would effectively eliminate any incentive to do Frontline. Ever. Think carefully before you ask for changes you may regret.

    Yeah, how about no.

The problem is that not all Grand Companies are created equal. You'd expect a roughly 33% win rate for each grand company but, for some reason, that isn't how it shakes out in reality.

I dunno why, but my GC (Twin Adders) on our server cluster always seems to lose - my win ratio on frontlines is sadness (13% win, 31% second place, 54% last). If I only got 25% XP in over half my matches, I and many others would simply quit the Adders and sign up with the usual winners to improve our win rate and thus XP gains (Or possibly just stop PvPing entirely) and that'd throw the GC numbers out of whack causing various problems like longer PvP queues because of a lack of signups from one faction. As it stands, we're game to try represent the adders, because it doesn't matter if we lose (Even if we still try our damndest to win every match).

The only reason that PvP has such fast queues right now is because the rewards make it worth it for a change.

In advance I LOVE THE PvP: to the point now.

I agree, we need to link experience to place. Maybe not as extreme as you are talking, but maybe 50% for last place. Same with tomes.

While I enjoy going nearly 10+ kills with 1 death or so every single match because people are utter trash at PvP, it does get a little old essentially taking candy from infants.

For everyone whining about their grand company...freelance like I do.

    This.

Look, MMO players are weird in that they do stuff for rewards, not just to have fun. You take away the rewards, enjoy your queue times.

Awful suggestion. Currently PVP is the only tolerable way to level DPS alts, who don't get the benefit of instant queues to take advantage of the amazing dungeon XP. Having to win just to get decent XP would be terrible and right now I'm enjoying that I finally have an excuse to finish collecting Garo gear and working on the Garo mounts. The last thing I need is for PVP to be absolute trash again. If anything, buff the XP for winning with the current XP as a base. However, I think this issue will largely resolve itself whenever they finally release the next deep dungeon.

I freelance. It doesn't seem to help much. Maelstrom seems to win the most frequently. It's also the team I get placed on the least frequently. I don't think that's a coincidence.

No need to punish people who are actually trying and attempting to PVP. Just give us better reporting and actually ban afkers, feeders, etc so the matches aren't ruined for everyone.

I disagree. A small subset of players who bot/throw games is worth the huge influx of new players to PVP. I'd much rather spend 30 seconds waiting to get into a match where 1 player out of 24 spends his time running into a wall, than wait 2 hours to get into a match where everyone is active.

I've personally interacted with a bunch of people who previously barely or never touched PVP at all, but are trying it out now because of the new incentives. While they may be new and not know the rules, they have all tried to do the best they can in the match and play the objectives. The bad apples who afk bot for EXP are a very tiny minority, and it's not worth getting rid of the new incentives just to weed them out.

Aether's Twin Adder almost always loses. This will force people to move to the other two and game will also become imbalanced. some people do try though. more than not...yet we still lose a lot lol.
