RMT Bots - The Latest Trend

Wanting to make all you people aware that there has now been a case of RMT bots sending a /shout asking for an invite to the Novice Network. Once in, they start spamming the novice network with messages about their gil-selling website. It happened about 20 minutes ago on Louisoix. Wanting to make all the mentors aware. Be careful who you invite to the novice network.

EDIT: Turns out they join, send their promotional message, then automatically leave before you can kick them.

You know, the thing that pisses me off most about RMT bots, I KNOW for certain people HAVE to be using them regularly enough to warrant them being around.

Right click their name and click report then For RMT activities. If a certain number of people do that they get banned. It's a fairly small number also just don't abuse it because they check.

They are getting smarter. Last night on Siren we had a couple with lore appropriate names instead of random qwrgaftg kfukvd or obvious rmt names like Bilii Mccgenericspammou.

There is no reason to buy Gil in this game. The drops in dungeons are good enough to get you the gear you need and Gil adds up quick

True but when a new glamour set is about 50mil for the entire set (and even though I've played since Closed Beta, only have 43mil) I can see why people find it appealing.

Then try working on breaking items if you don't want to make them. Desynthing a lot of the newer stuff (even stuff from 3.X) gives battle demi materia and other stuff, and it adds up pretty quickly when you run some unsynch'd runs and get everything yourself. I'm sitting at about 93m because I break everything I don't need for alc/ltw/gsm.

Ok I am still kinda new around here....Is a Glamour set just appearance gear or actual gear?
