Ok I am still kinda new around here....Is a Glamour set just appearance gear or actual gear?

Appearance gear. For example the Thavnairian atttire. By itself, it's statless. But, it is often used as a glamour option, so let's say my gear can be made to look like Thavnairian attire through Glamour. Still has the stats, but doesn't look like the base item anymore with the stats.

Gotcha. Appearaance stuff isnt that important to me but we will see when I get max level

True but when a new glamour set is about 50mil for the entire set (and even though I've played since Closed Beta, only have 43mil) I can see why people find it appealing.

Controversial idea: Remember way back when they SE started banning RMT and removing the gil they had farmed from the game, no matter who's pocket it ended up in?

Bring that back (permanently) and see if crafter are still willing to sell on the MB for extortionate prices. Half joking at this idea, because we all know SE will not do this. (not after the shit storm that followed it anyway)

I'm sitting on 5 million (give or take) most of the time (also been here since closed beta). All I can do is put a <3 next to an overpriced item and wait for it to fall in price most of the time. This time I'll just wait for items to end up in SB's version of PotD. >.>

we just recently had some of those on omega too... can't even trust newbies now. gotta ask again if they are a person.

Hello.

Wanting to make all you people aware that there has now been a case of RMT bots sending a /shout asking for an invite to the Novice Network.

There's a potential solution for this, but it would require more effort.

1) Don't invite people to the Novice Network if they are at level 1, hell, don't invite them if they are male Hyur BLM, which is like 99% of RMT. They need to put in more than an hour's worth of game play first.

2) Ask such people before you do. Ask them what "Job" they are playing. Ask them what their hair color is. If they can't answer that, it's a bot.

3) Go find them before you invite them. Really, if they know how to use Shout, then they obviously aren't as new as you would think.

My solution was this:

Send a shout asking people if they want to join the Novice Network. But in order to do so they have to send a tell. From there, I can enquire further, and then after getting a good handle that they're a human, invite them.
