    Reasons not to play MCH:

    Low DPS.
    One of the hardest jobs to play.
    Lack of support compared to BRD.
    L70 skill is the Dissipation of Stormblood.
    Severely punished for overheating.
    Turret RIP is just a DPS RIP

    Reasons to play MCH:

    You sometimes get a cool gun. But get stuck with a lunchbox.

    I don't see how they are supposed to struggle to build heat. They litterally have a skill that set them directly at 50, so they can start any boss with it. And with 120sec CD, they can keep it in long boss for getting back later to 50 after our burst combo because of a dps check.
    In dungeons, the heat doesn't go down over time out of fight, so they can just keep it as much as they want. And what would be the point of having a 0-50 phase, if it's to never be in it at all? In PvP, they made Hot Shot providing 25 Heat, maybe you mean we should get that for PvE too? But i believe it would make the 0-50 phase too irrelevant.

    It's not so much keeping heat as building it. The downtime between Overheat and Heated is considered long enough to never be worthwhile if Barrel Stabilizer isn't available.

    I think a fair compromise is having Hotshot generate additional heat based on how much ammo you have, and consuming it. 10 + X per ammo used, which while missing the ammo is unfortunate, it more than makes up for it through the potency boost for Heated Shots and the quick return into heated status.

    It's not whether or not MCH is the bottom that's the issue.

    It's the fact that it's bottom while bringing way, WAY less value to the table than classes with higher DPS...like BRD.

    except if you actually look at the good mch's. the best bards vs the best mch, the dps difference is 60. people on the forums need to stop acting like the sky is falling.

    I will say that I started playing my MCH again today and it just felt clunky compared to my Samurai. Hoping this changes at higher levels, but I can see where overheating is an issue even at 60. You overheat and you lose the 5% damage buff for 10 second PLUS the potency from heated rounds during the time it takes to get to 50 heat. The seems like the only class where a base mechanic punishes the player so harshly for what could be a single mistake.
