I can see why people would want this. However, I can also see beyond my nose to observe the forest for the trees. My selfish desires are unimportant in the greater scope.
What are you even talking about?
This sounds like the same logic of people who insisted that 5 minute reentry on raids would destroy the game. Yet we're all still here.
Hardly the same thing.
How long does a raid take? Are you gaining XP or just running through? Now do repeatable 10k xp leves every 5 to 10 minutes at an Aetheryte.
Now tell me that's even remotely the same.
I agree fully. I'm glad to see other people want this still because after they moved my topic to the guildleve forum it died.
It would be a welcome change.

if they do change it so you can get leve's on the spot, they will probally cut the amount of xp you get on leve's
What I have shown you is reality. What you remember, that is the illusion.
ROFL wrong topic.
Nevermind, nothing to see here.

And leves replenish only four every hour. So they too have their limit.
My point was that there seems to be certain people who apply the same basic argument to everything. An argument devoid of substance or any purpose other than to lament days gone by in XI.
There's nothing wrong with taking the opposing view of the OP. But none of those people have given a single substantive reason against it, only condescending conjecture.
Leves give a minuscule amount of exp every 12 hours. The whole point in stocking leve allowances was so that that exp could be stored up and used at will. Personally I don't mind running back and forth, but I can empathize with the notion that it's an arbitrary trip each time.
I think a better suggestion would be to have to go to the associated Adventurers Guild to receive an "aetheryte clearance" of which you could only ever have one. That clearance allows you to receive leves at said aetheryte. That way there's an initial travel process then the player can grind through as they please. Seems like more of a happy medium.

But you're not going to be in every zone at all times so why does it matter if one is empty and another is not?@Blue
ok ill give you that I'm on Selbina also
I really think the whole reason people are in the Cities at all times are because of the party search function or lack of. and obvious lvl 50's just sittin around with nothing to do lol
More content early-mid and endgame would solve all that. longer spawn times on NM's, more HNM's, crafting items that didnt drop from almost every mob in game so people could go farm to make cash. Anyways i just dont want to see the zones empty and I think giving people options to not have to move back and forth from areas will cripple the world making it feel so small and unneeded. and I feel FF is about the world
They replenish 4 every 12 hours and I will hardly argue your point here since I already responded to it in someone else's post.
You think 10k xp per roughly 5 to 10 minutes on a leve is miniscule? Bogus argument. Next.
I thought I was replying to the "let's add offline leveling derp thread"
