The two frontrunners for being able to do it, Summoner and Warrior, have both been gutted in 4.0, so it's even less possible now. I don't think anyone is gonna clear beyond the 170ies.

Paladin would seem the most capable option now. It was already one of the better options, just lacking DPS before.

As one player who is trying to get that done, I can tell that even Palladins will have a rough time. Their Damage Output on 60 is not as much higher as needed for palace of the dead, so they will have to watch their timers and reach the exit asap.

red mage and samurai are most likely slaughter machines, but when vercure will get nerfed (thanks to summoners complaining about physick) it will get even tougher.

So basically, if you wanna clear 200 solo, you need to know potd in and out, using pomanders for time saver and emergencies only.

Funny thing, a japanese guy cleared up to 180 on astro before stormblood. Most likely, that person can clear 200 now. Im sure we will see someone from japan pr angelus from cactuar doing it first.
