Last weekend I queued up for Leveling roulette with a couple of friends. Got Dzemael and we had a sprout healer who told my tank to pull all first room. We assumed he knew what he was doing. My friends goes and pulls all the mobs from the first room, we wipe a couple of minutes later.
Healer then starts griefing, saying how he was expecting our Red Mage (me) to do more damage. I reply to him how I just picked up the job, and I didn't see any AoE skills that could allow me to burn that down faster. No LB obviously since we just started.
Healer continued to insult me, saying how I got in the hype train and sucked at my job. Then demanded a kick.

We didn't kick him obviously, and I told him if he wanted to leave he could do so with a 30 min penalty. He sat at the entrance, not moving or chatting at all. After a while he says 'You 3 are friends fags', and I said 'You are free to leave'.

In the meantime, one of my friends and I tried to clear enemies in smaller pulls, and he said 'I won my overwatch match! Heh, I'm playing overwatch on my ps4'. We didn't reply, and just continued killing stuff. We did that for about half an hour.
After we cleared the first room, he catch up to us and does his job just fine like nothing happened.

We cleared the dungeon with 20 minutes remaining on the clock. I don't think it was worth it, but at least he wasted as much time as we did.

Kind of an old story now, but I remember a run of Fractal I had that was just awful. We had myself (WAR), my buddy (AST, or SCH? Not of huge importance), a BRD, and a MNK. MNK rarely did positionals, and used TK everytime it came up. I think they ended up parsing lower than I did, and the dungeon took a good 35 minutes.
Props to the BRD though. If you ever manage to read this, you were fuckin' awesome man!

My newest FC members are both tanks, both did exactly this. Use flash once, and that's it.
It only took me a min to explain that they needed to keep aggro, and spamming flash was sometimes necessary.
They don't lose aggro anymore.

It's not surprising for first time tanks.

I can attest to this. First time when I was lvling PLD, I thought all I had to do keep aggro was use flash once then enmity combo. Then someone explained to me that I should use 2-3 times and it would help me keep aggro better. Problem solved and that guy earned my comm.

Duty Roulette gives me Lakshmi, and all the dps seem to be new to the trial.

Its no joke to say between me and the other healer we must have raised like 12 times. This tank starts bitching about why aren't the dps being raised and why are the warriors doing all the work. Then we finish it mind you on that first pull. And he has the friggin nerve to tell us that we need to learn mana management and to learn your job.

I don't even have the words for how much I want to punch that person right in the face.

I've got a recent one, from last night (this morning, but for ease I'll call it last night.)
GF and I are progressing through the game together, and we just got to Susano last night. We invite a friend of ours to help, and sit in queue for 20 some-odd minutes. We finally get in, and a decent chunk of the party is new. No biggie, since one of the tanks and the other two dps (our friend, and a random BRD) give us tips on the mechanics.
After an initial rocky start, the off-tank gets the hang of the mechanics during the Sword thingy, and we're progressing really well, until the healers die to AoEs. No biggie, we go back, tank explains the AoEs (no responses.)
We wipe two more times, because they both die around the same point, at around the same time, to the same AoEs. The We finish it after that, because one of the healers learns the AoEs seemingly, and the OTank Covers the other.
Aside from the healers though, excellent party. Shout outs specifically to the OTank for that cover!

Was doing Bardam's Mettle for EXP on RDM with my boyfriend on PLD leveling together etc....

Got to the second boss which is the dodge trial and the SMN started dancing behind the seal and didn't come into the boss arena and got locked out.

I was like ..."SMN?"

You know what he says.....?

SMN: you can just AFK this boss
SMN: you only need 3 people anyway so I just afk outside and let the others do it for me all the time

Well...we decided to show him that you cannot just AFK and none of us stood in the towers and we failed and got reset

Never was there a vote kick that was so quickly decided upon; he can go AFK leech off some other people, but he won't be leeching off of me.

Why do people want to make others do all the work for them while they do nothing? I mean why play if you just want to AFK and do nothing just because that boss doesn't need all 4 people?

People are really trying my patience with this leech mentality.

Helped out a friend who got Shinryu for her trial-roulette and had a tank DC - so, queued up, got in... wiped three times, mainly due to healers not being able to heal through stuff. The scholar had constant MP-problem and wasnt able to do mechanics and the WHM... well... the WHM got checked out by me after the third try. Still using the ilvl270 shire-weapon, obviously didnt do his freaking level 70 jobquest! When I asked about it I get the response that yes, he knows, but the skill isnt any good so he didnt bother to do it -.-
So I tell him that its definitly worth it for the gear (since I dont really know how good the level 70-whm-skill is) and he goes "kick me then" - I have a whm-friend standing by, so we kick him to get her in. Before that I tell him to do his jobquest because I'm worried for the next group that will end up with that shitty, lazy healer who cant be bothered to put a decent effort in to actually beat that fight and is the reason people are crying for nerfs.
His response? "No."

I blacklisted him now, but people like that make me wish I could request their account to get locked...

Got a Brayflox hardmode, and low and behold my internet starts crapping out after the first boss, everyone teleporting around, we get to the last boss and I keep dying and dying. After the second wipe I apologized and had to leave, lag was so bad I couldn't even see the bombs.

Is it that hard to let the tank pull in dungeons? It's very annoying to see dps run ahead of me and pull when I'm tanking. I don't try to force tanks to pull more by grabbing it myself when I'm playing DPS or healer, I merely suggest it to them if I feel things are going too slow and the tank isn't taking much damage, but I'm not going to move ahead and force the tank to go at a pace they don't feel comfortable. Why does this seem controversial in the community? Just came off the tank forum where they laid into a new tank for saying they'll let DPS die if they pull something intentionally before them, saying they had an "ego" and were on a "power trip." Why is it considered "toxic" to just let players play their role? :/

I say this because I had a run in 50/60 roulette today where we were going at a pretty fast pace and I was tanking, obviously we out-geared it like crazy and we had only been in there ten minutes upon arriving at the final boss. But the other DPS was running ahead of me, pulling everything before me, and while I dealt with it the entire run up until the last boss, they pulled the boss before the healer or I had even gotten into the room, so we got locked out. I ask "was I going too slow?", only to receive snarky comments from the DPS like "aww was I going too fast for you?" and then they stood outside and refused to join the fight when we went in again. They typed things like "I love watching you do all the work while I sit out here" and "I'm better than you" (yeah, no, no joke). It just felt so stupid and ridiculous. This kind of shit discourages me from tanking at all.
