    Legend of Heroes series does have REALLY good world building, but the series is so niche that I'd chalk all of those up to mere coincidence rather than being intentional references.

    I'm getting more of a Yoshitsune vibe, especially adding on the rumor of him fleeing Japan while injured, traveling to Mongolia, and becoming Ghengis Khan.
