How are we all doing on him? For some reason it's been wipe after wipe for me, and now I'm just waiting to not be the only one to know the mechanics. How about you?

Cleared it on my second try. Not trying to rub it in, I really did. My advice? Don't even go with a group where "everyone know what you're doing please" because those (in my experience) always fail.
It isn't a difficult fight, make a group that's (really) about learning. If people are honest about not knowing and wanting to learn, things tend to go that much smoothly. Every time, if I go into a learning party it may take two or three or four tries, but they eventually pull through. All the people being dishonest about knowing what they are doing generally fuck things up for everyone else, because of course if they aren't open to learning they won't be contributing.
Those were my two cents.
Uhh, was about an hour for the first clear which lead into 7 clears almost back to back with a couple wipes, then did the last 3 the next day rather easily.
There seems to be a coniagious disease on this boss named "healer DPS" which ultimately lead to an unavoidable wipe
This would be my advice as well. I made a party finder group "Susano ex BLIND RUN, learning fight together from beginning", so no one knew anything about the fight beforehand. We had 5 people from my FC and 3 completely random people. We made good progress and to my surprise no one left, we entered the instance 4 times total I think (because time ran out, had to repair etc.) and eventually beat it.
So my experience is going in without knowing anything with full party of people who also didn't know anything, and beating the fight in about 3 hours total.
Whaaaat? Both us healers were DPSing throughout learning and on our victory run. Why would you have an issue with that? With item level 300 and random people I felt the DPS requirements were pretty tough (we met enrage twice before beating it), especially if people are dying.
Yup, the only parts requiring healing are the AoEs and those are easily covered... Even tank busters don't really hurt at all.

You really should stop with that argument... Not the first time I've seen you coming with it.
I beat Susano Ex after my second try (after one wipe on our very first try), my co-healer and I were DPS'ing and we've never had any issue.
The disease isn't healer DPS, but people not being able to stay focused more than one minute. Nothing about DPS'ing or not.
Enrage after enrage after enrage. I've gotten to 1% a couple of times. I think the fight is a bit too demanding on dps for the current gear level because a couple of deaths is enough to fail it. Finding non farm parties where people don't die is nearly impossible.
I've completed it with 6-7 deaths. I don't think the fight is overly demanding.
This, learning parties have always had a higher success chance than "clear" parties for me, since people go in intending to learn it instead of expecting to just win, or maybe trying to ride a win...Cleared it on my second try. Not trying to rub it in, I really did. My advice? Don't even go with a group where "everyone know what you're doing please" because those (in my experience) always fail.
