I main a WHM but I primarily progress with a friend so I usually keep one alt on the side with a DPS role handy just to have fun with when they aren't around. RDM will be that class for sure. I enjoy the little touches of WHM that exist and I like that their build up feels very rewarding. The spiffy red coat helps too.

I haven't leveled neither SAM nor RDM to 70 yet. Only raised them to level 60 to get them out of the Ironworks gear and into the Heavensward endgame gear. (And make some space for myself on inventory in the process) But from what I've played from them, SAM is definately looking to be my alternate go to melee DPS to MNK. Unlike the typical shout chat I see in the new "Barrens" chat location in which people insist on treating MNK like crap, I see MNK and SAM as best friends instead of rivals. Keeping them both geared is so easy thanks to them sharing gear. (But of course, I typically ALWAYS go against what the general crowd thinks)

I'm still not certain about RDM. But it's very fun so far. The only thing I'm not liking about RDM is how late RDM learns how to raise people. That's something I seriously liked about SMN among the DPS roles even during ARR. That said, my SMN may have to watch out anyway. Because I AM really liking RDM so far. To the point of which I wonder about the people I once worked with who insisted on claiming that RDM wouldn't work in FFXIV's combat system. I bet they dropped their jaws at how well RDM was implemented.

That all said, DPS jobs are always my alternate jobs that I usually only typically play in 24 man raids, and on rare occasions typical regular Duty Roulettes. I'm going to remain as both a Tank and Healer main into the future, because tanks in particular are always in serious short supply. ESPECIALLY since SB released. I'll be withholding judgement on how well PLD, DRK, and WAR play until I personally get them all to level 70 myself and play as them through the current endgame dungeons. My PLD is almost to 70, (for the sake of my PLD retainer) but I have yet to touch DRK and WAR since SB launched.

    Doesn't it?

You're grabbed from the first look. There can be no doubt. Red mages have that elusive 'it'
