Why are crafting/gathering sets in Stormblood class locked?

Something that's particularly lame about this is that some of the kudzu pieces are the ones the Xaela in the Azim Steppe use, so if you wanted to make a tribal glamour for your Au Ra, it would only be usable as a crafter/gatherer.

My dream was to get a dyeable version of that leather jacket without the other details, only for it to be locked behind gathering which is extremely saddening.

in my 4years of playing, I never saw ANY player wearring crafter/gather gears to push ilvl <.< as if that even helps... I think they only wanted to make us mad. SB Gather/Crafter gears look WAY better then Warrior/Mage gears and more unique too! =_= this so called "expansion" disappoint me more and more.... so many steps BACKwards than FORward.

I was disappointed to see this too. I had a cool pair of shades I used to wear as glamour but they're locked now.

The pieces dye in a different way, so again the glamour and economy excuse does not work. Its just like a middle finger to people who "care" about glamour. Can the devs not tell us the reason for why they decided to limit us players even more?

It feels like they wanted to go with the same system we had before and decided on some neat armor pieces but then suddenly changed their mind and we have this big fat tease infront of us. JUST WHY.

The Nomad sets are the same models, but they're also undyeable.

Why are DoH/DoL levelling sets now locked to those classes only? None of the other gear prior to Stormblood was.

It's a minor complaint but it does lock down glamouring even more, and I'm really not sure why SE would make this change? Who is it affecting positively?

It's part of their new system to avoid people wearing the DoL/DoH gear as a DoW/DoM. It's the same system they have in place so you have to use the right accessories.

I just checked, the reply is no. The stuff is 3M for the cheaper. All crafted.

Some components are still rare and expensive. One component is in aquapolis, the other needs to send aeronef in the right area.

I always loved to glamour using dol/doh equips because they look more casual. I'm really disappointed now.... I LOVED the Gyuki set from gatherers.... /sigh
