Why are crafting/gathering sets in Stormblood class locked?

The gathering poncho is prettier than the glam poncho and the leather jacket is so A+. I'm super bummed about this!

It was probably to prevent people from going into df with it equipped trying to spiritbond it lol.

tbh there's a lot of things a players can do to prevent those who rarely use the DoL DoH gear to scale in item level or spirit bond in random dungeons just simply kicking and reporting why they have to punish the mayority of the people who use those cool models for glamour and all those cool models wasted..
Kinda bummed cause i like to dress casual and i think glamour is very limited Atm :/ everyone is using the same gear and old stuff and i got bored of trying to make sets with old stuff...

I can imagine that a lot of people are likely bothered by the inability to glam the new scrip MIN/FSH tops on anything other then their respective classes.

I'm still 50+ilvl crafts. And gathers soon 60lvl....

I wondered if we get new beast trial's leveling dailies for crafts 60-70lvl?

If spiritbonding really was as big of an issue as it was (I don't think ilevel cheesing ever was, considering the lower item levels of gathering/crafting gear overall in Heavensward) then I at least hope some of these unique models, such as the 61 gathering jacket and the 65 crafting/gathering Xaela clothes, end up getting level 1 crafted variations.

Ixali and Moogle quests both came fairly late in the expansion cycles. DoH tribe quests are not likely to come out anytime soon.

I really don't know and I'd like SE to "free" the pre-level 70 crafting/gathering gear so we can glamour it on our DoW/DoM classes.

in my 4years of playing, I never saw ANY player wearring crafter/gather gears to push ilvl <.< as if that even helps... I think they only wanted to make us mad. SB Gather/Crafter gears look WAY better then Warrior/Mage gears and more unique too! =_= this so called "expansion" disappoint me more and more.... so many steps BACKwards than FORward.

I have but it was an extremely rare situation and only in the first dungeons (Tam-Tara, Sastasha). I remember a couple of people wearing some gathering gear. However, this still doesn't justify that gear being locked.
