The queue times may be worse, but at least you're playing a role that's actually fun, instead of a mind numbing chore.
I say stick with it. The only reason I'm tanking on the side right now is because my friends need the help. If I'm going solo, I'm DPSing it.

DRK isn't fun anymore. It feels like there's less to do and its more of a chore for trash especially.
I have been a tanking sense 2004 when FFXI released on ps2. Over the many years that followed, I have always had a tank for my main from FFXIV, WoW, Rift, SWtOR, etc. After a six month break from FFXIV, I came back to my one and only love DRK to find it gutted and lacking. DRK is only not as fun anymore it is doing less damage than PLD with fewer cooldowns. As many are asking, what is the point of being a DRK over PLD? Or WAR over PLD? Why not just roll double PLD? This might be the only game I have EVER mained a DPS. Yes, I *could* go to PLD but after playing so many types of PLDs I really enjoyed something a bit different. After getting my DRK to 70 for the hope and pray it is fixed, I might be seriously considering making NIN my main.

I thought of toughing it out for the others, but... nah. I've been doing this since 2.0 and I'm burnt out on getting shafted on and off, and then when you try and voice your complaints people start trying to shout you down. It sucks lads.

People don't realize that just sitting in tank stance, mashing your enmity combo is boring as sin, and a lot of 4.0's changes are massively punishing for any tank that tries to do different, or play in the same manner as they did in Heavensward. I truly hope that SE has some really good changes on the horizon in the very near future, because I'm seeing a ton of career tanks just give up and go over to DPSing.
Simply put, DPS roles are more fun, more engaging, more rewarding to optimize, look better, have better impact on their content, and are CLEARLY more favored for attention by the development team. Leveling Samurai alone has been more rewarding than any endgame tanking I've done in years. Why would I ever want to go back to tank, with WAR (my tank of choice) as brutally browbeaten into submission as it has been.
Everything I loved about Heavensward tanking has been nerfed into the floor. All that's left is a shallow, empty, boring husk.
Delirium cd is too long for the effect it gives; 90 seconds sounds more fair. Quietus is trash; DA grants it a mere +50 potency, which is better served elsewhere (CaS, for instance). My go-to AoE skills are AD and unleash. Unleash potency got nerfed hard, but I think the enmity buff makes up for it. Bloodspiller sounds nice, but I wish DRKs would have a burst phase, similar to WAR's 6x fel cleave, or PLD's 5-6 HS. I don't have bloodspiller or the blackest night yet, but I've heard enough to make me want them.
I like the syphon strike buff to recovered MP, along with darkside no longer sapping MP.
I would like for dark passenger to not cost so much MP. Right now, there is no incentive to use it (the blind effect is very meh). Lastly, quietus should hit much harder. Either improve it (around 280-300 potency (to compete with decimate) with DA?) or take it out completely and put DP back to how it used to be in HW. If the MP cost for DP is removed, all the better.
Just unlocked quietus on my DRK..is that skill a joke? At this point i rather trade this quietus for my scourge back.
Stuff seems to hit harder than before, probably to encourage players to stay in tank stance and for healers to spend more time healing since they don't need to stance dance anymore. That said, playing Warrior, I actually felt like I've become a better single target (eg main) tank thanks to the beast gauge. Having an inner beast almost always ready really helps loads with damage reduction.
