Although there are not much experience on stat weights now... it was said/rumored (?) crit got a nerf and det got a big buff in weights - that being said det is your lowest atk-stat... might be (as I said just unproved thoughts) if you give det a bit more of attention - overall dmg could increase..

Summoner is the highest range dps lol - or basically equal to blm but a lot more mobile for encounters with a lot movement SMN should take it.

Question for the level 70 summoners out the about Bahamut. If you have Garuda out and use Place to place her at location and then summon Bahamut, does he end up where Garuda was and atay there or summons where you are and follow you around still?

Well I typed up a long response but then I pressed the wrong button and lost my whole post lol.

So the TLDR version is: Summoner is no longer about getting in potency during dreadwyrm, that is now your number 2 concern. Number 1 concern is getting out bahamut, and using as many GCDs as possible while he is there. That means you want to use up your aetherstacks as fast as possible to maximize bahamut up time. So yes, canceling dreadwyrm early with deathflare is optimal, so long as you have aetherflow available. Because you can't use aetherflow during dreadwyrm anymore, being in dreadwyrm and spamming ruin III is a dps loss compared to leaving dreadwyrm and using those aetherstacks immediately. Keep aetherflow on cooldown at all times is the name of the game. And Never ever ever ever ever ever wait to summon bahamut, that's tantamount to forgetting to press deathflare in 3.0. It's very bad, don't do it.

Also just have to lol at anyone who says smn is nerfed or not strong anymore. If you think this pls learn2play.

Garuda return same place where it was before you summon your bahamut.

Just double checked this for you. When you cast Bahamut, your pet is de-summoned and Demi-B comes to your side for the duration.

That was my concern. If we could set it up like a turret of sorts it wouldn't be so bad because he has a 100 yalm range, but seeing as he still follows you around I can see where he can visually be difficult to work with to see some mechanics while he is out.

Did your original post have numbers to back that up? Asking because I haven't seen numbers myself.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding what you're saying, but are you saying that we end DWT early to use Aetherflow? It seems like you might as well take advantage of the potency stacking when you have access to Contagion and are locked out of Fester/Painflare anyway. I'm using Bahamut as soon as I get him already, and the only way for me to get him any faster is to end DWT early so I can Aetherflow earlier.

Also, if you have Aetherflow available when you end the second DWT, that gives you more oGCDs for Bahamut, right? So would it be more damage to line up Bahamut with Aetherflow, or am I mistaken?
