    Lv 66/i270> lv 70/i287 (290 wepon) 1705 magic attak>1997 magic attack, heal DPS broke

    What is the reason to nerf healing damage so badly that my 66 SMN kills faster then a 70 AST with an i290 weapon? I did not even DT and she did not use balance.

    The level 70 AST has way more stats then me as well in everything, and yet I kill faster (do more DPS) This means SCH is really hurting and I can feel it big time when I do runs. Healer DPS is too low, I want the old cleric stance back

    I'm not sure this is all that unusual. I recall the upper 50s were about where a well-played DD could begin to overtake my WHM in Heavensward (assuming I wasn't using massively scaled iLevels; base-ish 60 gear). You're only looking at a difference of 20 iLevels... DD classes should be able to out-perform Healer / Tank roles when they're that close (just as tanks should be able to absorb significantly more damage at level 66 than a DD can at level 70, assuming only 20 iLevel differences).

    How do you figure? it is 4 physical levels difference, 292 attack (17% of my magic attack value) D11 more on weapon, and yet I do a significant more then all that, that is too big of a gap.

    Have you even tried 61+ solo content as a healer like the MSQ? it is way to slow. In group settings it feels like my damage does not even exist

    They changed how healer damage is dealt, with the old cleric stance this would not be happening.

    It is not "close" at all when you are talking i290 left vs 270, that is a huge gap. Having 17% more magic attack is not small or close.

    Wow, it's almost like healers weren't supposed to be good at dealing damage. Who would have thunk it.

    It was hard due to the character cap to explain what I was trying to show, I am sorry for the eye sore, any advice how it could been titled?

    Healers where good at doing damage for 4 years? being able to do the solo MSQ at a respectable rate, now it is too slow. Maybe they should get rid of solo instances or adjust solo instances for healers if they where "not meant to do damage"?

    Well, let's entertain your apparent complaint for a moment. Should a healer and a dps have similar scaling on their damage spells, why then would dps even exist? Should a healer within around 20 ilvls of a dps be able to compete on equal terms, it would be best to simply cut the dps from the team completely. It's called balancing. You should not have anywhere near comparable to a dps in damage unless you are leagues above him. Clearly the devs seem to have acknowledged that healer dps is a problem in the first place, considering some of the more recent interviews, particularly with the changes made in Storm.

    as i said in a another thread :

    Instead talk about heal dps , we have Dps to compensate the lack .

    We"re back on origins, Tank and heal are back on their own job, no more dps for us: it's a dps job and since the beginning it should have been like this.

    So blame Dps and not healers, they have buttons just need to pust it ^^

    Mehhh, some changes in Stormblood are really annoying, my SCH feels so weak now, I was able to tank and dispatch hordes of monsters alone and there's no way to do that now!...

    Yoshi-P should talk with the dev team to rebalance all jobs once more, the changes are too punishing, I had way more fun before!...

    Honestly, even as an actual DPS many of the solo fights felt slower than before, so I wouldn't place too much stock in the idea that it was slow just because you were a healer.
