Hey OP,

Here's some tips that might help you. I live in the U.S. and my lag leaves me with about 1.5 seconds to avoid Eruption and other moves.

-Watch the chat log closely. You can see him ready Eruption before it appears on the ground. You can start running back, and that extra time will help a lot.
-Radiant Plume affects an area slightly larger than it appears. Make sure you're beyond the edge of it.
-Keep running even after you think you're out; you probably aren't considered out yet.

Yes, that was a little bit of sarcasm. I'm willing to accept the fact that Odin, as part of 2.0 content is meant to become more difficult with each defeat.

I wouldn't be complaining right now if we had scaling difficulty options, like in the other thread I'd started some time ago.

It's not that hard to give players the option to have a moderately easier fight and have no "unique drops" happen because of the settings. Quite simple, really. (I do not understand why the detractors can't wrap their heads around the idea of having three difficulty settings for the ifrit fight, with the highest setting being the only one that drops the ifrit gear...)

First, you feel they're rubbing it in your face. You do not speak for everybody else, and not everybody else perceives things the way you do.

They're all walking around on your server thinking, "Hey, let's rub our Ifrit drops in Feral Ren's face!"? Is that really how you see the situation and not that they're simply equipping their drops because... you know... they're actualy using them?

Really? It's all about sticking it to Feral?

You have clear jealousy issues. Just sayin'.

That said... Could you please get your story straight and decide exactly what your actual issue is?

First you talk about technical issues... People mention that the technical issues are a pain, but that it's still do-able.

Then you go on to talk about how it's too difficult and needs to be made more manageable for folks other than "Elitists" (more jealousy from you).

People mention that it's been done since 2 days after it was implemented into the game, other LSs have done it, some have done it in bathing suits. It's obviously quite do-able, and obviously your group is doing something wrong.

So then you're back to talking about technical issues... which people are responding to.

And now you're referring to your difficulty mode idea again, claiming it would be fine if only the hardest difficulty dropped the hardest gear...

It seems people are missing the solution I've been offering between the lines and not fully grasping what I am trying to suggest... well, don't come crying to me when you all finally encounter Wandering Odin after he's been beaten 100 times and can't adjust the difficulty in order to beat him.

Jealousy? Nein. If I wanted to be jealous I'd go stare at all the fat cats buying jewelery at the local Tiffany's.

To be frank, I hate the Ifrit drops. I'd rather be getting the drops from Garuda - those look far more tasteful. And the statement you're referencing was more or less meant to be a reference to the attitudes some endgame/hardcore linkshells tend to adopt. (I'm not saying ALL of them are the same, just that some of them are full of bad apples...)

Wipe thrice, server lag corrects itself for you.

ifrit doesnt use auto attacks past phase 1. his swipes are considered weaponskills. they are actually dodgeable
