This is false. You are given an ability called "undraw" which does the same thing as clicking them off.

One good way to make the CD to Draw appear in a visible way is to draw a line around the cental card space of the gauge... when the line is complete, Draw is ready to use...
It really is necessary to me since I've got to lv 66, I pretty much use Draw on CD now to get another Lord (Even considering using spear on me...)... I imagine what will happen when I have sleeve draw...
(Just another thing... Everyone noticed that Cleric Stance and Largesse can be extended by Celestial Opposition? \o/ But so is the counter of Earthly Star... T_T)

The AST job UI is lacking. They should had gone much further. Add Draw cooldown, make Royal Road icon more intuitive/bigger and even add Earthly Star cooldown/tracking, even time dilation and lightpeed (yes that spell you rarely use that got "improved" in 4.0)
If they are forcing me to look into another place, atleast make it good enough to be worth it because the gauge is not making AST life easier in any way, they just added another layer of complexity.

That earthly star counter being extended really threw me off when I checked the timer and realized it still had like 8 seconds left when I was sure it was done.

Chiming in here again to say that cards not being displayed on the buff bar, and thus being invisible to party members, is a really big misstep.

I could not agree more! Also, as I do enjoy the AST's new abilities, by taking away cleric stance and merging old abilities into one you have made dpsing and leveling an astrologist so boring....I literally have to force myself to stay awake while spamming malefic over and over and over....

SCH here, so I'm dealing with all of those lovely issues regarding our skills over our gauge, yay? T.T
But, anyway, I do have AST at 60 and needed to redo its HUD, and like SCH, I dont much care for the gauge. I am so use to using the buff icons and where to look for them that the new HUDs while visually appealing, aren't as helpful, since there are certain key pieces of information not present in them.
People mentioned the Aetherflow gauge, and its not bad, but why can't i see Aetherflows CD. I was able to move it in between my party list and buff bar/target bar, so my eyes travel to roughly the same spot, but it's stil annoying. But unlike the Aetherflow gauge, the AST has too much info to read at a glance. Yes it is visually appealing, but you left the buff icons for the Tanks? I thought that meant "hey we are giving you these new UIs but you'll still have the icons to help you". From what I exlerienced of the New AST gauge, its nice to look at, but some of the info is too small and not all of the info i would like to see is there. My eyes were already use to traveling from point A to B to C, but now you are forcing a D and E in there.
Oh and why can undraw remove our spread if we use it when we dont have an active card?

I like helping people with their Job ideas, it's fun to help them visuallize and create the job they'd like to play most. Plus I make my own too, I'll post them eventually.

I may be the only person who likes the new AST gauge. I didn't like playing it before because trying to figure out what was what with all the buff icons was frustrating. It's much more clearly laid out now, especially Royal Road, which if I didn't remember what I'd put there was effectively a mystery since the icons meant little to me.
Of course, I was much more of an AST newbie than most of the folks here, so I hadn't really learned it the old way. For a class newbie? I find it a significant improvement.
I was thinking the same. I play on a controller and I would love to see that information when I'm on my second hotbar. That would save me from flipping back just to check if the cool down is up. I only look at it for the RR too.Just a minor thing, is anyone else bothered by the fact that the CD for draw isn't on the gauge itself? It seems like such a vital role and IMO would make the gauge actually useful, because then I can have a condensed 60% UI showing me the draw CD, and all my cards at once.
I just want more numbers. If you're gonna throw a job UI on me then it better tell me everything I need to know about my card buffs: When is draw off CD, when is time dilation off CD, when is my CO off CD? Because at the moment it's just 90% wasted space for a royal road gauge.
