So why play anything other then paladin?

So we lived in a world where it was only ever worth playing drk and war and no one complained.
Now paladin is quite good and the others, while maybe worse, can tank just fine, and everyone i loosing their minds.

People did talk and SE listened its just that they forgot about the two other tanks while fixing the PLD.

I will personally buy and consume a leather cowboy hat if they buff up warrior and dark knight enough to take them over paladin come raid, thats a worthwhile trade. If they make all 3 of the tanks equally viable I'll eat two hats.

Stuff like this makes me laugh. Let PLDs have their time in the sun. They've spend the last 3-4 years being belittled and ridiculed for choosing "the under dog" Job, while WARs strutted around, and later DRK stole main tank out from under them. You know what people said to PLD mains when they complained about this? "Switch to a real tank." How you can expect anyone to have any sympathy after that kind of nonsense completely amazes me.

and you're speaking like PLD never dominated, in early 2.0 the tank meta were dual PLD while WAR was unusable,since SE has the mindset to make 1 job stronger than others instead of making 3 tanks equal means in 5.0 PLD will lose their spotlight again and "switch to real tank" will make a return,and hey i don't think they deserves any kind of sympathy and should be ignored after being cocky in 4.0 right?

It also exacerbates the issue that WAR was in such a good spot. the higher you are, the more it hurts when you fall. and on top of that, they also changed the playstyle at the same time. double whammy. DRK got similar treatement if I read correctly (don't play, so have to take on faith).

I'm glad the got PLD up to snuff. Now they need to tweak DRK and WAR some too...no reason to leave 2/3 jobs in the dust for a whole Xpac.

i dont understand how people make this so personal "my class deserves whatever lol" and so forth. some of us play all of the tank classes. warrior might have been my favorite since 2.0, but i played paladin in 2.0 as well

i'm playing paladin in SB because they had a really good design going for warrior and I haven't played it yet but just reading about changes it sounds super trashy and unfun to play now. paladins just have this ridiculous amount of utlity + the strengths of both tanks and more now.

dont get mad at people who just want to be wanted in groups lol get mad at all the people who think having 2 paladin tanks is going to make the difference between killing a primal and not killing it. it's their fault that you're upset about the things you're talking about lmao

As someone who has played and leveled all of the tanks to 60 pre SB - all I can say is I have no sympathy for the people who mained war/drk and made comments over the last 2-3 years to pld players such as calling them "subpar" and "inferior" openly in chat. I especially have no sympathy for those who used comments such as "switch to real tank." In a way I feel that this is sweet karma for the torment pld players have endured for years.

As for if there is a reason to play the other tanks? Sure, because you like them? And unless you're grouping with elitists then you can most likely clear any of the content on any class. It may not be the "best" meta - but the "best" meta is usually only required by those who live to be server/world firsts.

I plan to level warrior to 70 because I enjoyed the class pre SB. I didn't feel the warrior's duty was to FelCleave everything though.

Have not played the other tanks yet. WAR still looks good on the surface. It's AoE burst looks particularly impressive for a tank.

Once again another thread is made using data from the media tour. Yes, I'm aware of the spreadsheet that showed Paladins having a higher overall Potency. But that's kind of pointless now considering redditers are now picking apart the actual patch itself as we speak. The doom and gloom is pretty silly when the data is about to be changed any hour now.

Anyone that thinks Paladins will retain the highest DPS of the three tanks when the servers go live hasn't been playing this game for very long. [Posted by a career Paladin

Wth is with all of these other PLD's putting down WAR's and DRK's now. Where's your sense of competition. Us being just straight the ''best'' tank isn't good for anyone, it doesn't encourage us to grow in our class, it doesn't encourage good tank to tank synergy. I learned so much more as a PLD whenever we were the underdog class, because I wanted to prove PLD's worth and because I didn't have the cushion of just being the ''best'' and no class should have that luxury.

It's pretty childish and petty to think that one class being so far above the others is any sort of good thing, even if it's your own class
