Coeurl reporting in. Have yet to spend more than five minutes in the log-in queue. As far as I can tell that's the only thing that's better over here. I was still locked out of playing any instanced content (even dungeons), so that's pretty consistent for everyone.

Feel like there's enough pop to easily do things you want to in game? Able to find/sell things on market etc? I really enjoy gathering and crafting and its making me hesitate on moving from high pop to low pop when thinking about being able to buy and sell stuff.

I started on Balmung in 2.0. Played through 3.0 before switching to Mateus and deciding that was too small. Mateus didn't even have enough people on it to support a market board economy or populate hunt Linkshells. Coeurl's been much better. Multiple hunt LSes working together, a decent number of FCs actively recruiting, can sell and buy on the market board. It's an actual, real, functioning sever, just without the incredible bloat of high-pop servers. I think the economy moves a bit slower; high-end crafted gear takes longer to sell, but does sell.

At least that's my experience. I'm sure someone will defend Mateus or say they regret transferring to Coeurl. But for me, Coeurl's been very popular, and I took advantage of the free transfers to bring the last of my gil over from Balmung.

Keep in mind, word going around is Mateus is the place to transfer to, I've heard. Might still not compare with others, but there's been an increase, surely.

As for my experience, when the servers first opened, my queue was something like 120. Had a queue of 1 yesterday, and no queue at all today.

Duty queues are another matter, of course. No real help for that on a server basis.
