Here is a novel idea, go outside, read a book, go to the movies, hang out with friends or family. Go to the beach, to the mall, go play paintball, go to the arcade, go play laser tag or ride go-karts. Play another game? Continue leveling jobs through FATE/PotD.

You do realize people paid for Stormblood, right? And I bet a lot of people specifically took time off for Early Access. So I don't think anyone's acting entitled.

I don't think most people expected this to be flawless (i.e. They were prepared for trouble, but not for this.). But to not be able to progress the MSQ when everything is gated behind the MSQ, to put 2 solo instances in so early rather than group instances (which actually have queues) and possibly being locked out of your character if you do get to the first trial, is unacceptable.

My only guess is that because the two new jobs are DPS jobs that they were worried about the lack of tanks and healers so they put solo instances in rather than group instances. And certainly that would be a problem, but the situation would be far better.

Server instability is expected. Odd glitches are expected. Emergency maintenance is expected. A ridiculous f*cking decision to gate 90% of the expansion content around instances that SE doesn't have half the server capacity to properly support? No. That's not something we're supposed to tolerate.

Moreover, of course there are other things we can do. That's not the point. The point is that we paid for a service, the availability was promised on X date, and due to SE's stupidity, it isn't. We in fact paid early for a glorified demo. People are perfectly within their rights to be angry about that bait-and-switch.

And, really, I have to say - why do you have to be so godsdamned stuck-up? If you're tired of reading negative feedback on the forums, go follow your own bloody advice and leave. Stop trying to shame those of us who are angry, those of us who looked forward to playing this weekend, with a thinly-veiled implication that the only problem is us not having a life. I get there will be quirks about the first couple of days, but I should be able to at least log on and play...

Paying ahead of time was my payment for early access. There's a reason that companies give out stuff for those who pre-order, they want the money sooner. Don't act like early access was just kindness that blew out of their ass, due to their golden hearts.

Implying I don't do those things on a regular basis? Because like...I already do. This weekend in particular though, I wanted to play the new expansion. I don't see what's so hard to grasp.

And ffs, I'm so tired of people saying "oh it could be worse" or "it happens all the timeeeee" and to that I say....sooo what?! I don't give a damn. That's not my problem as a paying customer. I gave them my money so I kept up my end of the bargain. It's up to them to get this bs sorted out.

On another note, the level of vitriol in this sub is pretty absurd. I've seen people complain less for worse transgressions.

Just pass on a level of my disgust is not from this issue alone it is a combination of things. One a developer that constantly overestimates what they have and then shortchanges a % of the community. This may not be their fault to start with maybe the budget shrunk during development. This happens but they have shown a consistent disregard for this.

Two the hero worship and the devs interaction in game. The dev should not have his own fan base sending him gifts. The dev should not have the fawning at these overseas events. None of us can know how much this has embolden them to make decisions they didn't have to worry about falling flat. It was also this type of fanaticism that allowed the creation of 1.0 and 13. Here you all are repeating the same mistakes.

tried that got to class quest thats behind an instance get booted from game for an hour at least while trying to log in. Finally get back try quest once more same thing happens but last longer this time.

I for one am pissed that a company that i pay money to each month is having these issues, if it was a f2p game no i wonder care at all, if they were getting ddosed i would under stand but this is just SE being cheap ass fucks and not wanting to do a beta to test or put money into the servers so everything would be smooth for their paying customers!
