This launch is nowhere near as bad as World of Warcraft Warlords of Draenor.

Draenor had 10 million people at launch.

Legion had about 5 million people at launch.

Blizzard had setup the server capacity for a lot more people then what they actually got. Which is why the Legion launch was the smoothest they had ever had for WoW.

People are right to be upset, these are not novice developers we are dealing here but a seasoned team with multiple launches under their belts. This was a massive blunder on their part but I'm not going to cancel my sub or anything drastic like that because overall they devs have done a fine job with FFXIV to this point.

The above all being said however if this had happened to me in a brand new game with no time investment on my part I probably would have had a lot less patience than I do now.

Why do you care so much if people, rightfully, complain about this garbage? Seems like you are spending as much time caring about the complainers and less time playing the game, or doing those other things you so earnestly suggested.

There is complaining then there is just throwing tantrums and crossing the line. While I agree on complaints, the latter is what I see too often here.
