    Adding on top of what Balipu and Naunet has already mentioned, this have another glaring issue. You need the ENTIRE set for it to work. Do we even need to go about again how much of a PITA RNJesus can be at times? So before we collect the entire set, the separated pieces will still be laying around taking up inventory slots. So no, I don't think this is a good compromise (along with other reasons already explained).

    Overthinking it.

    If you have cleared a dungeon, you simply need to deposit "X number of gears from Y" and then all gear from that dungeon is unlocked. It doesn't matter what the gears are. So you have 14 slots which 13 have gear that can be put in, and of them 2 of those slots are your Weapon/Shield, and you can't wear two of the same unique item (rings.) So if you deposit 10 gears from that dungeon, everything is unlocked. Every time you deposit a gear you can drop it on a "player paper doll" of which piece you want. Consider that the belt and accessories tend to be not visible/barely visible, and you'll see that most people who want to just glam four or five left-hand gear slots will unlock those and ignore the rest.

    I think this would at least add some incentive to run the old dungeons for completionists.

    Another work around this is to simply have a "Glamour Replica Blacksmith" NPC where you can trade in gear for other ilevel gear of the same dungeon set for blueprints. The dungeons just then drop <theme> blueprints in addition to the original gear, or you can trade in the gear you get for theme blueprints. If you want the actual gear, go to the original NPC that you traded in "antique armor/tomes" before. Replica gear retains the original level, but it's ilevel is 1, and has no stats, and can't be turned in for GC's or sold for gil (value 1 gil.) Run a dungeon 10 times on minimum party size and use the blueprints farmed to replace the entire set of gear you need.

    That would be viable within the existing shop mechanics we already have, but doesn't help with inventory bloat. But then again, you don't need to keep the blueprints once you have the gear you need to create the glamour in the first place. If for example you want the Demon gear from WoD or the Scylla/Amon gear from Sycrus tower, you'd just turn in the gear for blueprints and once you have 10, you buy the replica version of whatever role you need. Change your mind later, turn the replica gear back in to get the blueprints again and buy a different role's set.

    I support the OP's message. I have been frustrated with just about every point the OP brought up.

    Glamour log, needed. Copy WoW, we'll be happy. need a reference visual? go to WoW. LotRO's system is another approach. So is Wildstars. Even ESO has some good ideas (like unlockable dyes in a table you can simply choose from when dying.) TAKE UR PICK, they all work better then what we have currently.

    Move Currencies to the Currency tab. All of them.

    Tackle box Plz.

    Those alone would alleviate soooo many problems. Can't get into retainers, it makes my brain implode. so many other effective solutions to that...er...mess. Dangit, there goes another brain cell.

    Your suggestion seems over-complicated for a compromise to what a glamour log can (and should) achieve, even when compared to what Yoshi-P suggested on the LL (clear X content Y times to unlock everything in X content) or what DarkDedede mentioned earlier (I understand that as how the Garo achievement work).

    I thought we were getting +40 slots per inventory, meaning +40 for the character in use and +40 for each of the hired retainers, including the additional ones from the Mog Station!...

    I just found out that's not the case, it's just +40 slots for the character in use and nothing more, what a sick joke Square Enix, this doesn't help at all!...

    My understanding this whole time was that we were getting 40 more inventory slots for our characters and an armoury expansion, but retainers were not getting any more space. I think you just misinterpreted what they said.
