i've watched many people that have been accused of botting and can tell you most are not. a bot will do the same thing regardless of the situation. if you see different times between the actions or random abilities they are surely not botting. even if they don't that's still no proof that they are.
non responsive when you spam LS chat/says/tells to them
and when they do respond 20 hours later "oh i had my 6 year old kid crafting for me and i told him not to respond to anything, sorry"

yeah, usualy you can tell, just sitting in 1 spot isnt botting
but theres ALOT of obvious signs that are there

and the above did happen, the LS member was reported, and subsequently got banned from 14
    good for him lol

exactly. there are ways you can have an idea if someone is botting or not, but on most occasions it's not enough proof to be sure. when i grind a craft i usually sit there the entire day and rarely speak in say or ls chat because my ls uses mumbles primarily and i have ptt set on my controller also. i'm not even one of the ones that walks away from the screen nor hides the gamer because both of those are cheating to me. i will admit that i do alot of watching of netflix on my second monitor though lol. i just don't like typing out what i have to say and prefer to use voice chat because those conversations get quite amusing at times.

my statement was in reference to the one that said that they believed most people that had a capped craft were botters and that was especially true for people that did it before march without anything to back it up. i agree there are way too many botters in the game and i would love to see them all get the ban hammer. that'd be just less competition for me in the market and more profits for me.

Do you actually craft? If you do, you should know better. Here's how crafting goes for me:

I start watching a DVD boxset while hitting Enter over and over. I pay very little attention to anything in the game, besides occasionally glancing up so that I can check to see if anyone is speaking to me. And the only reason I do this is so that I can quickly respond and put to bed any doubts that I am manually crafting.

Players who aren't so touchy about being accused of botting probably don't even glance up at their screen. So the notion that not responding while crafting makes you a bot is a complete myth. Anyone who has legitimately levelled multiple crafts to 50 knows this. It is a time-consuming process and extremely repetitive. No one wants to continuously stare at the screen while they simply hit the Enter key repeatedly.
