And yes, I do repair my 60 gear at menders usually, dont really like having to refill stocks of Dark Matter. I keep a stack of T5 and T6, the gil cost of either dark matter or mender fees is negligible. I play tanks and healers so a near broken is covered by my start of the day roulette gil. But when I forget for awhile, the oh snap, stuffs breaking mid fight, I like having it. And in a forum about inventory soace, the idea of holding a few stacks of the same thing is a bit... Counterproductive? If saving a few hundred gil was worth it to people, youd see less jokes about aetheryte tickets and more people doing hunts to get them. Even if I repair my 60 gear with gil, i still probably spend more gil a day leaving idyllshire than anything else. Unkess they made a system from scratch typing the cost to highest character level, asking for one of those would be horrible for all but about T3/4. Too expensive for newbies, too cheap to be a gil sink for high levels. Albiet I find self repairing to be more of a vet tendency than a newbie one due to most chars needing at least 4 crafts of comparable level to their adventuring level. And most people would need 6, ACN/SCH/SMN being the main requirer of ALC, and CUL serving no purpose for repairs.
Oh look, the person said the do normally repair at the npc. I guess you were wrong, I probably wont get an apology though. When it comes to repairing lower gear with grade 6, god you like to pick a fight with anything don't you? HE NEVER said he views ALL repairing that way, he is talking about repairing lower gear with grade 6 matter, that's the whole subject of the post. You reading it wrong.
