When can we make lalaqotes?

Outside Elezen and Hyurs all other races are not compatible, even if they try nothing happens.

Source? I'm not at home to look it up, but I'm pretty sure we've been told precisely the opposite of that in the lore forum? I might be misremembering, but I could swear the official line was that crossbreads were perfectly possible, but rare.

I'd like to know this as well. Given the race poll they gave out before 2.0 came out listed hybrid races as one of the options, it seems to me this hasn't been explicitly stated one way or the other in lore.

Atm, the whole of FFXIV... There are no other hybrids in existence or mention as far as i know of. Proof otherwise welcome.

Their lack of presence in game is the same reason we never saw a half Elezen till Hilda or a Mi'qitten till the one in Mor'dona. It's not important enough until the need arises to show them. Until they are ready, the model isn't in game so there is nothing to sprinkle them around with.



As for people worrying about adding childlike races to the game. Please, stop projecting. ERPer's exist and will always exist and nothing you, me, or anyone does is going to stop them from their ERPing. They are a very small fraction of the community and as such design decisions should not be made around them.

Look I'll be frank. Being 100% unrepentantly judgemental here, ERPer's are fricking weird, their ERP is full of cringe, and I wouldn't mind at all if they all suddenly vanished. However, they are not hard to ignore/block and their actions don't actually hurt anyone. So why bend over backwards to mildly inconvenience them?
