we also need a new skill replacement for leech since its being taken out, so right now there is no 40 skill for sch. they could totally make use of this by giving us a new skill or something worthwhile, like move certain skills down the level and give us a better skill at a higher level.

I have a feeling they are going to implement the new cross skill system with the job quests, for example "all healers get debuff remover spell at X level".

Originally I thought the same when White Mages lost a bunch of skills to the role system and thought that the replacement skills would have added something new but it seems there is no hint of that at all from any of the media videos I seen so far

So I'm afraid its quite likely people levelling for the first time will just get a gap.

Technically level 40 is when the fairies learn their final skills (fey illumination and fey wind), so it's not a complete gap.

Eos and Selene to the rescue once again. Now if only they could graduate from being Pokemon and learn a 5th ability...
