Let Us Change Skin-Color at Aesthetician

With this now being an option in WoW it is not that bad of an idea in FFXIV. Would make it easier to save money on fantasia at the very least. Though at least the character creator is nothing like the Inqusition character creator with people having to restart after starting their game to re-create their characters XD.

As said, skin-color isn't something aesthetic like hair, hence the fantasia. Now the real question; should we pay extra for something like this? Me and my gf don't think so.

When it comes to the cash-shop or extra services, this forum acts like a split brain, doesn't know if it's coming or going, people want to tailor the cash-shop towards their personal preferences.

Our opinion here is; a cash-shop in a subscription-game is double-dipping. Raise the subscription and drive out the abomination.

To throw in a suggestion; maybe they could add extra options towards the aesthetiean, like skin-color, with veteran rewards, if they really don't want it to be 'included' in the sub. Call it a spray-tan (which comes off with rain, lol).

i like that echaton. yes we are already paying subscriptions, why pay 10$ just to change a small tone of skin color to fit a different attire, it's part of the costume. and keep fantasia for making more radical changed to your character.

While I agree with the rest of you post, I don't agree with this. Granted I might benefit from this suggestion as I make some purchase from the kupo store myself, I find it unfair for the rest of the players who simply don't. Also, while you're making the suggestion out of good will, I can ensure you that SE will come up with some way to double dip the players again with a "higher-tier" kupo-store exclusive item after they raised the subscription fee. So no, I don't think they should raise the subscription fee. At least not on the grounds of a "season-pass".

I agree. We could spend all day in the sun and get a tan in real life, so this kind of option should be available in the Aesthetician. (never heard of tanning beds?)

Getting a tan is an argument but a Roe going from pink to green or a miqo'te from brown to grey would actually not be natural.

One could argue that green/grey/blue skinned races are non-human enough to have another reason for their skin color besides protection from UV radiation. The same way humans become more brown in the sun, fantasy races could become more grey in cold and dry climates, more green in humid and warm climates or more blue from extended nocturnal activity. These changes could surely be accelerated by the means of alchemy and magic.
