I totaly agree. why does SE make a promise to us to change the skin and eye color but then forget it or change their minds?

Would rather just have an overhaul of the character creator itself and have actual context to having 2 different clans with skin tone as only real difference but thats just my 2 cents I guess

Probably because SE is making money with he feature it has. Of the demand for fantasy reduce, they will look for a way to get more income.

The unfortunate thing here is that if they agree to any request here, like skin or eye color change, it'll set a precedent for them. Next thing will be height. Then chest. Then chiseled and so on and so forth until everything is available to the aesthetician and phial is a thing of the past

But most of those are details suitable for in-game changes. They could have Fantasia just be required for race, gender, and perhaps clan. That would still leave plenty of use for it. Some people like alternating particularly between different races.

It would also make it more straightforward. Character creation already has decisions about race, gender, and clan decided separately, before the screen where you configure all the details of your appearance (since race, clan, and gender determine the available options for those details). All the stuff on the appearance details screen could be included with the aesthetician. That's more straightforward than cherry picking a few of them, and is therefore much less likely than the current version to keep getting requests for expanding it.

it should not be the case, one day we didnt even have aestheticism to even change hair color or shape, without fantasia.
