Still incapable of admitting you are wrong, when anyone ever PROVES you wrong, your only argument is that they are perpetuating the DPS stereotype?, you know that is not even an argument against what I have said.
even if I am perpetuating the DPS stereotype I am RIGHT and you are WRONG and I hope deep down that hurts your pride, because opinion based pride is apparently the only point you have to push your argument, not facts.

A more accurate use of your kitchen analogy would be, a healer that only heals is the chef who prepares a full course meal. A healer who dps's as well as heals is the chef who on top of the full course meal also prepares a desert on the house.

But I also don't actually end up having to vote kick a lot of people. As it turns out most healers dps once you get above level 30 and I give people under that the benefit of the doubt and just assume they are new and carry them on my strong dps back.
shame im not in that group , or id make sure to vote kick u afterwards :P

People tend to be more likely to listen to the tank. Not sure why though, we can be horrible people.

Sorry I'm bored and you seem like fun. Plus you seem to have this god complex I find very fascinating. Please continue.

Side note: You say you don't complain, yet you stated you will say "Yo, you're healing us amazingly well, so could you deal damage?" and if they don't comply you will vote kick them. If the run was going fine, you were getting heals and the damage was enough for the content, why are you votekicking them? Is the few seconds saved per fight that valuable to you? Then perhaps you shouldn't be playing an MMO, especially if you have no patience for people and insist everything be done your way or not at all.

Repeat with me: "I am not the community. I don't represent the community. I don't speak for the communuty."

Now do it a thousand times.

That being said, gonna take note of those spamming threats of kicks due to "difference of playstyle" and make sure to vote kick them on sight if I ever come across them. My playstyle is definitely different from "jerk."

There's a difference between contributing what you can to the group, and min/maxing your gameplay. Put another way, there's a difference between casual and hardcore gaming. Guess which one is valid to apply to casual content, and which one applies to Savage/Extreme content?

I have a sch at 60 only because I levelled summoner, and I have gear on that job because it seems no one has wanted it in the various dun scaith runs ive done and on Sunday I thought id try healing. Did sastasha and I thought this is easy, then I went into the vault and omg I have so much respect for healers who can heal and dps,. I really struggled and had a near wipe at the end when the dps both got chained and the tank took a wailing from the boss.
I used to be one of the people who thought healers should dps, but now im 100 per cent not, do it if it feels comfortable and the situation allows it. Weirdly even though it was a little stressful I really enjoyed it, felt like a different game almost and I might go back and level white mage.

This thread shows why we will never be as good as the Japanese playerbase.

The issue is the mindset of trying and not trying, if you TRY to dps and only contribute 100dps because u are casual and can't weave a good DPS rotation into your healing, is infinitely more acceptable than refusing to contribute anything at all, People do not expect you to be TOP dps and also be the best healer ever, however they don't want to be told that you would rather Wait to heal (doing nothing for large periods of time) than attempt to do more for the greater good of the party.
