Thanks! I'll be sure to remember that next time I'm in a group with someone who whines about "dead weight" you know all that energy whining about other people's playstyles could be put to use actually doing your role, which of course is damage and a ninja no less....I rest my case.

What case? What fanciful scenario have you constructed? I don't complain in party chat, that's a huge waste of time. I will say, "we're not taking that much damage, can you please consider adding some damage?" and then if they don't the votekick silently goes out and I've yet to have one fail.

But I also don't actually end up having to vote kick a lot of people. As it turns out most healers dps once you get above level 30 and I give people under that the benefit of the doubt and just assume they are new and carry them on my strong dps back.

Side note: You say you don't complain, yet you stated you will say "Yo, you're healing us amazingly well, so could you deal damage?" and if they don't comply you will vote kick them. If the run was going fine, you were getting heals and the damage was enough for the content, why are you votekicking them? Is the few seconds saved per fight that valuable to you? Then perhaps you shouldn't be playing an MMO, especially if you have no patience for people and insist everything be done your way or not at all.

Setting that aside, yeah, I'll take a healer that dps's and we wipe a time or 2 over one that heals flawlessly with 0 dps basically every time. I do not value your capability to fill a bar every 15 seconds particularly highly. If for no other reason than at least the healer who does damage is actually putting forth an effort which is something I do value.

Ok I'll bite one more time.

You don't feel compelled to carry someone through a dungeon, but you join the DF, where quite a few people expect to be carried and/or have different ways of playing. See the problem? You're expecting perfection and a style of play from people you don't know and people who basically don't owe you a damn thing. If they are flat out afking and not doing their job properly? Fine vote kick them. But if the run is going smoothly then why get so damn picky about shaving off a few seconds each fight? You say that you shouldn't have to make your own group to get the runs you want, that is called being entitled. You tell me I should make my own group instead, I don't have to because I will play with anyone, yes even someone like yourself.

Bottom line; stop playing with random people if it upsets you so much. I'd be more concerned with the people who can't heal, or tanks who can't hold threat if I were you.

Shadewalker solves the tank problem, thankfully.

I don't expect perfection, I expect effort. People standing around doing nothing for multiple gcd's in a row are worthless, regardless of how smooth the run is going and also, just to be clear, of their role. Specifying since I've seen too many sub-1k dps and not pushing buttons often enough is always the culprit of that particular problem.
