Since there is no plan for reraise/reraise items, I hope every job will be able to use raise still, since it currently looks very restricted in that regard.

What's funny is I think Reraise (cnj 38) and Tractor (cnj 42) have been in the dat files for a while... we just can't use them. ^^; Maybe in the 1.20 rebalancing act?
(I think the 2 spells weren't locked to conjurer either)

It's going to be a big deal with jobs come out and only 1 or 2 class can even raise. Remember Jobs can't hybrid not if they allow every job to use raise then that be dumb.Everybody can raise in this game, its not a big deal. You only really needed to wipe and RR in FF11 because fights required really rare items to enter or if you failed the fight you had to wait days/weeks to reenter. You still had to wait for weakness to wear off and the boss would get full hp by then anyway.
In this game you can reenter things after a few minutes, so exiting the fight and restarting it is pretty much the same thing. This way is just better design and prevents zombie tactics since weakness in this game doesn't make you completely useless, given you didn't die while weakened.

Jobs aren't going to be completely restricted. Raise as it is now is on a long timer anyway so it wouldn't be fun waiting 5 minutes when only one person in the group can do it, so even if Reraise was WHM-only it wouldn't change a thing. You'd still need make sure no one dies at all.
