Short story, on my phone so I don't want to type a novel. Was in Dun trying to get some bling for my off classes. We get to the queen (can't spell her name off the top of my head) all is going "well" (as well asSunday evening pre expansion df goes) and she starts her ultimate after the whole add phase. Put my asylum down, everyone at full hp, no vuln, all is well, I start casting medica II then die along with 4 other people in my party? Bwuhhhhh?? This wasn't a case of we took too long, no one else in the alliance died, I don't even, I'm an i260 whm with 20k hp wot xD

Story 2 (because my lunch is still too hot to eat)
In a ravana tweety farm and we were going in a downward spiral, people were dying to basic dodge the bad, hitting his parry shields, eating all the aoes so he started doing mechanics like the rose orbs and charges that the typical farm group doesn't see. I cleared ravana way back when so I know what to do but as I line myself up for orbs someone shouts in chat "OH GOD MECHANICS IVE NEVER SEEN!", my internal crying intensifies and we wipe about 5 seconds after.

People take more damage if they stand in the light circles.

Shouldn't ilevel dodge slots regardless. If your pure 230 though yeah that's fine, having more then 1 right side for say expert that is under level 60, that's pretty gimp, it is called expert for a reason. ANY LEFT significantly UNDER the rec ilevel is gimp, I got away with it doing The Great Gubal Library but there is nothing hard there, if it was say the current expert, my hp would be an issue.

Not asking to be overgear. Asking to play their jobs properly. Doing there rotation. Knowing where and when to AoE. There's no good excuses to queue a lvl 60/ex roulettes with gears below lvl 60. I blame PoTD weapon wish boost the ilvl enough to bypass the ilvl 180+ check with lvl 50 gears.

Well, up until the other day, I didn't know that tanks who request healers stop using Cleric Stance actually existed.

I was helping my husband with MSQ (Xelphatol) on his alt, and the tank says, "you know you are in Cleric Stance, right?" To which my husband responded with something along the lines of, "yes, so I can DPS during downtime."

The tank came back with, "but you're not a DPS."

I realize that this wasn't particularly egregious, and the tank dropped the argument straight away, but it was just so weird! I can't properly express how incredulous I was.

Well, up until the other day, I didn't know that tanks who request healers stop using Cleric Stance actually existed.

I was helping my husband with MSQ (Xelphatol) on his alt, and the tank says, "you know you are in Cleric Stance, right?" To which my husband responded with something along the lines of, "yes, so I can DPS during downtime."

The tank came back with, "but you're not a DPS."

I realize that this wasn't particularly egregious, and the tank dropped the argument straight away, but it was just so weird! I can't properly express how incredulous I was.

Its prob more common then you think, my most recent example is not too long ago that my friend in The Great Gubal Library did, I might of posted it here before.. lets see... was it during that relic a thon day?

Noticed slow DPS on the first pull, was trying to figure out the sorce but was not sure. Due to having a ninja, friend was not sure if the ninja was playing well for a ninja or if the SMN was just really bad. Bosses was even slower then they should be compared to AoE, so was suspecting the SMN more for lacking DPS. Finally at the mega pull after the second boss, no aoe LB + ruin one spam. Commented "lb" to use lb as she was trying to keep the tank up spaming heals. No one died but they started to get snarky with her having cleric stance on. She vote kick proposed on the SMN due to comment and being useless in DPS, to her surprise the group was a premade and they all left her before the final boss. The tank that was last to leave insulted her as he MPK her so he could leave.

2 premade abuses, 5 undergeared players, 1 abandoned run, and 3 slow runs due to lacking DPS in 10 DF runs.

Another one that was a bit more trolly, my friend was doing her normal thing in one of the older 60 experts.. 3 or 4 patches ago? anyways after like 3rd pull the tank comments stop spaming flash. Both my friends where confused as af thinking the tank was talking to himself. Then after a pull later he started to complain about her using holy and cleric stance. and for more fun, a different friend shown me these found online:

I had my first one of those a few weeks ago. I had created a char on Ultros because a friend came back to the game and that's where his FC had moved to. Anyway I get into Satasha and tank says "You have cleric stance on." and I said "I know, I will turn it off if/when I need to." I mean he didn't say turn it off... and maybe he just thought I forgot and he was being helpful? but I swear that is the first and only time I have had a tank comment about CS -at all-.

edit: Ama's post did remind me in main story roulette I did have a cohealer that told me too... I think I posted.. I wonder if I can find it.

This isn't FFXI, good luck finding that kind of common sense courtesy in this game. Even if the party leader is of your server.

You also might consider people are tired of trying. My friend always passes leader and another friend did it a few times as well. Every time they did, either the new leader breaks it anyway or everyone leaves.

whm could been undergeared too. a while back one of my friends went in as a DPS figuring having a good dps with my friend's tank would speed up the runs. The whm was so undergeared the whm could not keep up the tank friend and wipe a few times. After they removed the whm, the other dps got snippy saying it was.. scummy? I think the word was. Some people are just blind to recognize issues.

That is horrifying.

meh you learn to deal with it after a while I suppose, or kick when it gets bad. Speaking of, both those stories, the people complaining about using clearic stance got kicked soooo, always a way of dealing

Went into a Exreme Levi as Tank to help people out. Ended up getting into a party where there was a pre-formed of 2 whms, 1 tank and a brd. The Tank was drunk apparently so he wasnt helping. I have solo tanked that fight and i was like why not. Find out it was their first time and they decided to join for the lols. We died a shit ton of times, there was a pug bard who actually was there for the clear. He was expressing his discontent with their joking around.

They kept asking me why I had a debuff on me, that added on to their healing. I said it was the tail, if the drunk tank could put on shield oath and attempt to hold head since he was auto attacking it anyways in sword oath, we could manage for a bit without me taking so much dmg. Nope, he ran around crazy instead after i said something. Healers thought it would be amusing to just let me die and re-raise me to get stacks off.

We somehow made it to last add. Me and the BRD who wanted the clear. The healers kept falling off, but at the end of the day, it just wasnt happening.

The Brd wasnt from my server I wish he was, I would have took him in an unsync run, bless his heart. But those 4 people did appologize at the end to him.
They said they felt like scum bags.
I hope they were being sincere. :/

Oh noes. Someone asked a question and I said my opinion and someone got offended because she exactly fits my description. Oh noes.

Now if only people put in effort in what theyre playing and their dps wouldnt be as bad no matter the ilvl,but they just dont. So the low IL only makes it even worse.
