still playing? you mean just started playing in 1.19, because thats when i started to even care. I was a long time FFXI player and had hype out the ass for this game, and it turned into garbage. Im barely playing, mainly leveling because its one of the few things thats solid right now. If they started charging right this second, id put it down until 2.0 without even thinking about it, its just not good enough "yet" to pay for it. By 2.0 i think with lots of the major issues (crappy world, terrible server coding issues, smooth UI, lots of new and possible content and features that can only be done in 2.0....ect) il be glad to pay, but until i see those things done, im not going to bother. So don't tell me what i do and don't do.[Removed by Moderator according to the FINAL FANTASY XI FORUM Guidelines.]
@Oni....you cant compare this to buying a bad normal game, because heres the kicker....its subscription based MMO! They ony do as good as the amount of players who are consatntly paying for the game. Do i think what they showed will be good? sure...can i see it right now and have 100% proof it works...nope? Do you buy broken bad games purely based on the devs saying "we will patch it and make it better"...i sure don't nor does most of the people who buy games.
There is a reason the game is like it is now, having a small community (which will drop off a good bit until next year) and it has all the horrible press it does.

They haven't been charging any subscription for the game since it released(they will next month and Yoshi-P says that by then we will have feature worth paying for, I'm not too convienced but ya..) and they are not patching the game , but remaking it. This is very ballsy of them, because other mmos who failed, just patched up the holes here and there to make an acceptable product. SE could have done the same and just continue the patching process that has been going since launch.still playing? you mean just started playing in 1.19, because thats when i started to even care. The game would have improved but there certain things that cannot be be "fixed". That's why they went the remake route and decided to sink another few mills into the game. It is in their interest but i thank them for that because i was waiting for SE's new FF MMO for a while now and FFXIV was a huge disappointment. With our suggestions and continous feedback maybe they will deliver the game we were all hoping for.

Yes, they could have just "patched up holes" like tanaka was going to, and they would have had a tiny community with them making no money or it would have died, instead they decided that making money is a good thing and that they are SE and have the money to make something much better, they know people have expectations that are much higher, which is what they are trying to achive. My problem is supporting the current game by paying for it. The reasons i listed and the ones you said are all why this is 1.0 and they need to scrap it...i dont want to pay for 1.0 and all of its flaws. Il GLADLY pay for 2.0 and all that i can be, but until its in my hands me and many others wont. They haven't been charging any subscription for the game since it released(they will next month and Yoshi-P says that by then we will have feature worth paying for, I'm not too convienced but ya..) and they are not patching the game , but remaking it. The kind of support il give is my approval: Yoshi is taking it to a much much better place and im very glad, but i can not justify giving this game my money until they give us what should be the better version of the game (2.0) At that time i will support it with my money.
You're barely playing but you're still playing a game you call garbage, shit, whatever word you want to use? I'm not telling you what to do and not do, I was just asking why you call something garbage and still play it? I thought it was a pretty ligit question.still playing? you mean just started playing in 1.19, because thats when i started to even care. If the game is shit period, Why would you play it.... ever? even for 1 day? The excuse saying " I just started back up playing" is getting old. like seriously
